Set in a world where same-sex couples are outlawed in every country and if you ever are found to be anything but heterosexual, you are sent to a facility where they try to alter you. In the process they do not change people’s sexualities but give them abilities instead.
Our characters meet when they are both sent to this facility. They end up being placed in the same cell and eventually they forget our what this place actually is and try to escape before they are “altered”

Backstory: Her parents did support her but one time in public she was seen being "too friendly" with another girl and was sent to the facility without anyone notifying her parents. She was a bit scarred because it was in public and many people saw her just being arrested for a hug that was too-long.
Other: She has an identical twin sister named Addison but they were separated once she had to go to the facility.

Personality: kind, sweet, caring, shy at times but is a nice bubbly person once you get to know her.
Backstory: lived with her dad and older brother who disliked her and found out she was pan and immediately reported her to the council. She now has a burning hatred for them but doesn’t tell anyone
Other: wears glasses for ready and writing.
Kaitlin was sitting on her bed, well bunk thing. She was reading on of the only books she was allowed in this place which wasn’t very interesting as it was all about straight people romance and the guildlines. Extremely boring but she had nothing else to do. She wondered when her cell mate was going to arrive.
Alexa was hauled into the facility and thrown into a cell room. She saw one girl in there already sitting and reading a book. There was NOTHING in the room except two beds and useless desk.
Kaitlin looked up at the girl and put her book down, offering the girl a small smile, “Hi there.” She said
"Hey" Alexa replied, barely managing a smile. She was furious she couldn't even let he mom know that she was here.
She decided to introduce herself because she had nothing to do. "Im Alexa"
“Nice to meet you, I’m Kaitlin,” Kaitlin looked Alexa up and down a couple times and smiled a little, “I take it from the way you are practically fuming you’re new and haven’t been transferred from another cell.”
"Great eye" Alexa replies, not sarcastically but still monotone. She was still upset about what happened earlier.
“So, how did you get caught?” She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Public Eye" I think some person reported me when I was in a cafe with my "more than friendly friend" but she ran as soon as she saw the cops. I don't really like her anymore
“Aw, that sucks.” Kaitlin said, swinging her legs over the side of the bunk, “Well, this place isn’t all bad. There are some cute people here but..” She shrugged, “No use since they try to change use.”
Kaitlin shrugged, “Dad and brother turned me in.” She simply said.
"Oh" Alexa couldn't empathize with her on that part but she could give her some sympathy. She knows that she would feel betrayed if her own parents turned her in to the gov't. "What do you want to do to kill time?"
