Kylie followed, stumbling a little, into an old limestone shrine into a place that must have been deep beneath the dunes. The brown stone that made up the room was damp and covered in long strips of moss. Around the room were pedestals, each one just about as tall as Kylie, each with a symbol carved into them and a small counter of stone protruding out with little grippers - to hold something, Kylie assumed. In the middle was a large statue of many people reaching upwards where a giant glass sphere sat on top, dimly lighting the room.
Hawkin was in awe. He let go of Kylie's hand and went and found the one that had the explosion on it. He stood in front of the pedestal, and rubbed his hand across it. He turned and faced Kylie. "What do you think this is? What does this place mean? Why did whatever this is choose us? I'm-I'm scared…"
"I don't know." Kylie went over to the one with a star engraved on it - it was conveniently next to Hawkin's. "Maybe it's a generation thing…maybe there were people like us…before us?" She suggested. "And this…shrine, I guess…was made for all of us?"
Hawkin shrugged. "I don't know… I guess that there were people before us… But why we find out now? I just don't understand…" Hawkin looked at his pedestal, and decided to climb it.
"I don't know." Kylie didn't notice his antics, running her fingers along the grippers. "These look like these were meant to hold a headpiece or something." She absentmindedly fingered her tiara.
Hawkin was on top of his pedestal. "Let's find out!" He took off his necklace, and jumped off of his pedestal, and gently placed his necklace on it. A beam of light shot up when his necklace was placed on it. Hawkin quickly took his necklace off of it, and grinned. "It actually worked! Let's get everyone in here to see what power we can come up with!" His eyes shone with excitement.
"It's the glass ball in the middle here, I think. It glowed a little bit. If we have everyone, something will probably happen to it." Kylie shook her head, glancing around. "But I don't think anyone here controls water…or fire…or ice. I think Rigel does negative space, or something…but there are some people missing. We won't get it to full power until we have them."
Hawkin smiled. "Yeah, but what if they don't exist yet? Like they haven't even been born? What if the world needed the ones that it gave powers to? See how the pedestals appear dimmer, or shrouded? That could mean that they don't exist, or that power isn't needed at this moment at this time?"
"Yeah…" Kylie approached the flame pedestal, which was black and had what looked like ashes scattered across the ground near it. She stepped back and looked to Hawkin. "But what on earth could the world need us for?"
Hawkin looked at the one that was supposed to be ice. It was really cold, and frost was all around it. He walked around it. He furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't know. There is literally nothing I can offer to save the world. I mean what have I done to gain this?" He gestured to himself and the power he had acquired.
"I second that." Kylie looked around, walking back to her own pedestal. She walked around it, noticing a little stone door in the back. She frowned, calling to Hawkin.
He walked over. "What is it?" He asked curiously.
(I"ll be back. I am going to church. I should be back in about an hour and a half)
(okie, byeee!!)
"I don't know." She ran her finger across the edge of the frame until she found a chip in the rock. She wrapped her fingers around it and pulled. Hard.
The stone door opened to reveal a copper-colored hook, and from the hook was hanging what appeared to be a long cape. It was lusciously velvet, a baby pink color with a intricate gold trim. As the door was opened, it fell to the ground in a heap, revealing the two golden clasps at the front, cleverly shaped like detailed stars.
Hawkin eyes widened. "Cool! Let me go check and see if I have one!" Hawkin dashed over to his pedestal, and pulled on the little rock door. On the hook was a deep, black velvet cape. It had intricate an silver trim. The clasps were half circles, and when put together, looked like a bomb (think thermal detonator from Star Wars). The chains the half circles connected to, were of silver. They connected to the cape. It had a hood that covered the wearer's face when put over the head. Hawkin picked up his cape gently, and put it on. He turned to Kylie. "How- How do I look?"
Kylie smiled gently. "You look great. Mysterious, I guess…powerful." She nodded, shifting to her other foot after donning her own cape - the pink of the cape combined with her blonde waves and pink tiara was perfect. "What…what about me?"
Hawkin sucked in his breathe. He spoke softly. "You look- look, beautiful. Powerful, and your hair is a great combo with the pink cape, and your tiara. I wouldn't want to go up against you in a fight that's for sure…" Hawkin flushed red. He had called someone beautiful, and he had known her for less than a day…
Kylie felt a faint blush rise to her cheeks, though she quickly let it fade. "Thank you." She replied softly, looking up at him.
Hawkin looked down at Kylie. He leaned in and bent down to get on her level. He smiled, and reached behind her head. In one swift movement, He had grabbed her hood, and pulled it over her eyes, and he was running the other way. "You'll never catch me! I'm now a protector of some sort! AHAHAHA! I'm invincible!" Hawkin was running and flipping like a maniac.
"SO AM I, IDIOT!" Kylie grinned and sprinted after him, catching up easily and poking him in the ribs.
Hawkin was surprised she had caught up with him so fast. He tried to dodge her pokes, but he was ticklish, and he fell onto the ground in a fit of hysterical laughter… "AAAAHHHH I'm ticklish… NOOOO You found my weakness!!!"
"Wait…you're ticklish?" A grin crept across her face. In one swift motion, she leaned down and started tickling him, grinning evilly.
Hawkin was laughing so hard he was crying. "Please stop! It's my one weakness in this entire world! AAAAAHHHH NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO….." Hawkin was smiling the entire time though. He finally decided he needed a break. He did a move that his best friend Cas taught him before he died. He put his arms around Kylie's waist, and swiftly flipped her over, to where he was on top of her. Hawkin smiled. "Now that's how to escape a weakness. Maybe you should learn from the escape master…"
Rigel’s eyes widened as Xander nuzzled into his neck, basically melting where he was. Xander was so soft and gentle… Rigel swallowed his hum of pleasure before he could make any noise. He tongue was in knots, so he just didn’t say anything, curling inwards and snuggling Xander. We only met a few hours ago, but… Rigel couldn’t stop himself.
Xander pulled back after a few minutes and looked at Rigel. "Let's go back to get your clothes, find the others, and then get the hell out of this place." Xander stood up and held a hand out for Rigel to take.
Rigel quickly took Xander’s hand, staying close to him as they went to get his necklace. He glanced at Xander, but ended up staring at him. He’s so kind and handsome… The feeling hit Rigel like a blanket. I want to kiss him… Rigel shut it down, locking up the feeling before he could act. He’ll think I’m absurd…
(I ship Rigel and Xander so hard rn… XD)
