"Hey…what's wrong love…" Jackson asks sweetly.
"Hey…what's wrong love…" Jackson asks sweetly.
"I'm fine. Since you're so curious, why don't I invite her over so you can meet her?" She smiled naturally, but the offer made her stomach clench and her throat burn.
"Uh… Im going to leave that to Jackson to decide." Jordan waves
"Only if you want to Nat"
"I'll call her right now. She should be getting off work," Natalie said thoughtfully. Nooooooo! He'll forget about you the second that he sees her…
"Nat only if you want her to come over alright? It doesn't matter to me…"
"No, you should really meet her," Natalie insisted. She didn't know why, but Olivia had to come.
Jordan went out on the porch and hangs up the jacket to dry in the warm night air
Jackson pauses then nods. "Alright…"
Natalie smiled and called Olivia.
"Hey Liv… Sorry, Olivia… Yes, I know… Hey, are you busy?" Long silence from Natalie. "Okay, well, I'm going to text you an- … Yes, an address… Yes, I did see it… Yes, it was pretty… No. Just come, okay… I wasn't…" Olivia hung up. Natalie sighed and texted her sister Jackson's address before looking back at Jackson. "She'll be here soon."
Jackson, who had been listening to Nat, looked worried. "You don't get along do you?"
Jordan sighs, leaning on the railing of the porch
Natalie shrugged, making a huge understatement about her twin's relationship. "All siblings do."
Jackson doesn't look convinced but nods.
(Timeskip just a couple minutes.)
A sleek Corvette Stingray screeched up in front of the house. High heels clicked on the walkway. A freshly manicured nail pressed the doorbell as lightly as possible.
Jackson, who'd been lounging on the couch, stands to open the door. He looks back at Nataile before opening the door to her twin.
Jordan had dozed off slightly with his head on his arms, still out on the porch
Olivia gasped dramatically when the door opened and her eyes looked this boy up and down. She smiled, leaning in and kissing him heartily on both cheeks, somewhat close to his mouth on either side. "Hello," she purred warmly. "I'm Olivia."
Natalie watched until her sister left her lipstick near her boyfriend's mouth. "Hi, Liv," she croaked, standing up and walking quickly over to Jackson's side.
Jordan turns, his back resting on the porch railing and crossing his arms
"Oh, hello Natalie," Olivia said, pursing her lips. Her eyes flicked back to Jackson.
"Liv, thi-"
"Olivia," her sister interrupted.
Natalie took a deep breath. "Olivia, this is my boyfriend. Jackson."
Jordan watches this through the open, glass sliding door with a blank face.
Jackson, who'd been watching Nat, turns back to Olivia. "What a pleasure to meet you Liv"
Olivia didn't even seem fazed. "So you're the boy who's going to get my sister to live her life," she remarked in a bemused tone.
"Liv," Natalie hissed.
Olivia laughed. "You can't say it's not true." She looked at Jackson with something hidden behind her eyes.
Jordan straightens and marches toward the others, "Are you dising either of them?!" He barks, his hands balled into fists.
Olivia turned sharply. She quickly scanned Jordan. "No," she replied evenly, eyeing him with a steady gaze. For once, she was short on words.
