(I'm Back! Thank you for waiting!)
Jamie screamed when Wren pulled the arrow out of his leg. The sleeping drought burned his leg, and it felt like his entire body was on fire.
Wren winced, "Sorry, can you stand?"
Jamie nodded and struggled to get up. he leaned on a tree for support, and tied a ripped piece of clothing around the wound in his leg to stop the bleeding.
Wren looked up at the sky, watching the suns set. "It's getting dark out, and I doubt that cultist was alone." She turned to face Meara, "Do your parents know where you are?
// i have a question is Venus Blake in the roleplay and if not will she join?
(idk)
//she started it, so probably
//okay, thanks
(Welp, good night. I'm off to bed)
(I'm here. Hey,SaltyCrackerz, is it a D&D thing for a warlock to be a species. 'cause I always thought it was a position.)
"my parents are erm, dead. I live wherever I can." Meara said, a single tear falling down her face.
Wren paused, "I'm so sorry."
She took a deep breath. "I think it would be wise for us to spend the in the abandoned bell tower. It's well hidden, and not very many people know about it."
"Thank you so much, miss." Meara said shyly and followed diligently.
Wren turned to Jamie. "There are some things in my house that I need to fetch. Can I trust you to take Meara to the bell tower without trouble?" She said, frowning.
"Be careful Wren. That place is crawling with guards, and they know you've associated with me. They won't hesitate to arrest you." Jamie grabbed a stick to support himself on as he walked. He gestured to Meara. "C'mon kid , I'll show you the way there."
Wren smiled, "I know, but there happens to be a secret way in. I'll be quick. Let's take care of this cultist first." She searched the cultist's satchel and found a coil of rope. After securing her to a tree, she turned back and tread through the forest. As she neared the house she saw guards outside. She stopped and turned to a old oak tree. Searching the roots, she found the hidden trap door, and snuck into her house's basement. Wren listened. No guards were in the house. She sighed with relief. They at least had had the decentcy to leave her inks and quills alone. Quickly gathering some food, sleeping bags, parchment, a bottle ink and a few quills, she grabbed her staff and snuck in to her bedroom. She paused, listening. The guards were still outside and hadn't heard her. She crept over to the closet and kneeling down, opened a secret panel in floor. She drew out a long, purple, crystal blade. Securing the panel, she crept back through the cellar, out the tree, and snuck back through the forest. Heading down a small ravine she approached the bell tower.
Jamie led the girl through the forest, holding the piece of wood in one hand and his knife in the other. They reached the back of the bell tower, and he pushed her through the doors before following himself. "We just have to wait for Wren." He told her.
Wren entered the tower."Jamie? Meara?" She called softly. "Are you here?"
"We're here," Jamie called out.
"Good." Wren climbed up the stairs and set down the sleeping bags. "Before we all bed down, I think we need to plan our next move. Does anyone have any questions?"
(Maybe we should wait, @hope isn't here rn)
(Good idea)
