Wren eyed the being, "What did you shoot him with?" She said as calmly as she could.
"A simple sleeping shot. But that's the least of your worries." She snapped. "You two know too much, hag. If it were up to me I'd kill you, but my orders are to wipe your memories."
Meara was walking the streets eating a sweet apple a man had given her out of pity. She wasn't quite as cute as she used to be and didn't get as much pity but she took what she got. A man ran past her with a knife and a necklace and she shrunk into the shadows to avoid him. Once he was gone she decided to follow him. She wasn't sure why. Maybe for the adventure? Maybe she thought he would help her or something? Meara just went. She hid shyly in the shadows and had to refrain from screaming when he got shot.
Wren searched her brain for a way to get out of this but, nothing came to mind.
An abrupt movement behind the woman caught Wren's eye and she spotted a young girl hiding behind a tree.
Keeping still, Wren tried to catch the girl's eye.
Meara had been watching the woman by the tree and saw that she had seen her. They made eye contact and then Meara cocked her head and made a motion that said, "Should I go to you?"
Wren spoke to the attacker while glancing at the younger girl, "Your a cultist. A Child of Klaeko aren't you? Why else would you be wearing that ridiculous mask? I hope you aren't going to pick up a rock, and hit with it, possibly in the head." She looked pointedly at the girl with the emphasis of each word."
"Quit rambling!" the woman barked.
Jamie groaned one last time before his world faded completely to black. His stalker glanced over at him before taking a step towards Wren.
Meara nodded enthusiastically. She was always one to have an adventure. She picked up the largest rock she could find and after aiming carefully launched it at the stalker's head.
The stalker froze when the rock hit her. She stood standing for a moment, before collapsing on top of Jamie.
Wren exhaled with relief and pushed the woman off Jamie while addressing the girl. "Thank you, I'm not sure we would've have gotten out of that if you hadn't come along." She smiled, "I'm Wren. What's your name?
Meara, stunned that it worked and unsure what to do now, came slowly out from behind the tree, approaching the woman who was still conscious. "h-hullo"
"My name's Meara." She said barely above a whisper. Her shyness was kicking in.
Wren nodded while taking out a vial of brown liquid from her tunic."Pleased to meet you. This is Jamie." She said as she poured the liquid in his mouth. "This should get him up. Hasn't failed yet."
//should I jump in? Are you just in the woods?
(yeah, @hope's character just got mine & @Brokenchipmunk's out of a jam. Maybe jump in a bit later. My sis is kicking me off for an hour soon)
"That's fascinating. Nice to meet him when he wakes up." She remembered the knife and the necklace. "Wait. Will he hurt me?" She shuddered a bit.
Jamie groaned and spasmed once before his eyes opened. He was greeted by the sight of Wren, his unconscious stalker, and a girl who looked around a decade younger than him. "What…… happened?" He asked.
"A Child of Klaeko knocked you out with sleepin magik. Now tell me, Jamie, what's your favorite food?" She said as she jerked the arrow out of his leg in one clean move.
(I'm so sorry, My sis is kicking me off to write. I'll be back in an hour. Can you please wait for me?)
Meara looked away as the man started to wake up, nervous about what eye contact might bring about.
Jamie screamed when Wren pulled the arrow out of his leg. The sleeping drought burned his leg, and it felt like his entire body was on fire.
( Yes you may, right now they're just waiting for The Lavender Owl to come back. ^.^)
