Dusty was first to the left. Why do I feel like I'm getting tortured more than others? Just then the chain got tighter around her neck.
Dusty was first to the left. Why do I feel like I'm getting tortured more than others? Just then the chain got tighter around her neck.
“Thanks,” He lifted his head towards the arm on his shoulder. “It’s really not that bad. I’ll be okay.”
"Errk!" she said as the chains got tighter.
"Okay, if you say so." She removed her arm and noticed how Dusty seemed to be being hanged by her chain. "Dusty! Sit on your knees! It will make you taller so the chains aren't as tight!" She honestly hoped that none of them would die, even though that was such a low possibility,.
Why would “they”, whoever they is, do this to someone of her age? Any of us for that matter. “She’s right. It should relive the pain a little bit.”
"Ok…" Dusty said as she did.
Donovan was still passed out, bleeding heavily.
"Good… Don't worry, we'll try to get out of here." She felt expesically inclined to help Dusty, for the fact she was so much younger than everyone here. Suddenly, she got an idea. Aelin forced herself to a half crouch- kneel thing. She ran forward, the chains yanking at her neck. She reached out for the blade on the table. It was just an inch out of her reach. Suddenly, she was yanked back to the wall, slamming her head against it.
"I don't feel much better…." She said as a door suddenly opened.
Donovans eyes slowly flutter open, groaning in pain. "Ah… Ow…" he groans softly.
Jack watched Aelin as she tried to grab a knife off of the table only to be pulled back against the wall. He limped and reached out just as she did, but for a chain that was in his reach instead. As soon as he was able to grab the chain he was pulled back to the wall. Holding his head for a moment, he tied a knot at the end of the chain and threw that end up to the table. With it, he pulled the knife off the table and closer to Ailen right when the door opened.
(I gtg. I should be back on later.)
"Guys the door…." She said going unconscious.
Donovan blinks, hissing under his breath.
Aelin quickly scrambled to grab the knife and hide it behind her back as the door opened. Two men walked into the room. They were both wearing masks that concealed any facial features. One of them said, "Good to see that our test subjects are finally waking up." His voice made Aelin's skin crawl. They both scanned up and down the wall, the evil gleam in their eyes enough to make you sick. The other one finally said, "We'll be back in a little bit, when more of you are up to witness the, fun, we have in store for you." Another sickening smile, and they were gone. The sound of a key in a lock came from outside the door. Despite Aelins will. tears started rolling down her cheeks. She quickly pulled out the knife and started to unscrew the chains holding Jack from the wall.
Jack watched relieved as the two men left. What in the world could they mean by fun? He thought. When he looked to his right, he could see tears start to fall down Aelin’s cheeks. “It’s going to be alright.” He whispered as she began to unscrew his chains.
As she used the knife to unscrew the chains she responded, "I sure h-hope so…" The knife slipped out the screw and cut into her hand placed on the wall beside it. She gave a stifled yelp of pain, not wanting to alert the kidnappers that something was going on. She wiped the blood off her hand, trying to ignore it as she finally finished getting the chains off of him.
As soon as the chains were off of him, he tore a piece of his shirt off and used it to bandage her hand. “Are you okay?” He asked as he then began to undo her chains as well.
"Y-yeah I'm fine, thank you." She stared at how much blood was coming from the wound. "Oh well, no use in worrying about it now," she thought. She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She started to look around the room for a place for them all to escape. It looked like they were in a basement, so no windows. There was only the one door, and they all heard it lock. Besides, the kidnappers would probably notice if they all ran upstairs…
Dusty looked around her neck started to bleed.
Donovan groans softly, ringing in his ears. Blood pooled around him.
Jack quickly finished undoing Aelin’s chains and went to do the same for Dusty and the others. “Do we have a plan?” He asks as he drops Dusty’s chains to the floor and gives her a reassuring smile.
Aelin stood up, looking around the room. "No… The only way to escape is through the door, and it's locked, not to mention they would notice us." As she turned, she noticed the blood pooling around Donovan. She gasped, "Oh my God….Are you okay? Where are you bleeding from?"
Donovan hisses under his breath, weakly standing once released. "B-back." he answers the female, pointing to the foot long gash in his back.
Aelin steps backward at the sight of the wound, comepletly shocked. It looked deep too… "Hold on, let me look for something.." She began to look through the various torture devices on the tables, but could not find any sort of bandage.
