So I've finished finals season and I'd like a fresh rp! Probably a bad idea considering I've got quite a few others, but what the heck.
I might have some ideas to start off, that'll depend on who joins!

Sure! I haven't done a one on one with you in a while.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Alrighty! So, I've got no concrete ideas, but I know I want to play around with the notion of regrets and possibly religion?
Also, are you familiar with Phillip Pullman's bene elim?

@amber_is_in_a_loop

yayy I get to explain
Ok! So, the bene elim are Phillip Pullman's (my favourite author) take on angels. They're beings made of dark matter, intelligence and feeling, which comes across as light in their case. The more powerful angels are seen in the daylight, whereas lesser angels can only come out in the night. Some are born angels, others are deceased humans who have become angels.
And as I was typing this, I got an idea. First, any questions?

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Kewl! So this idea stems from two of Pullman's characters, Baruch and Balthamos. They are two angels, Balthamos born angel and Baruch having died and become one, and they have fallen in love in 'heaven'. The love between to bene is superior since they are literally made out of what they and others feel– it goes beyond love and becomes a bond that never breaks.

A, a lost and desperate human, has realized that the life they lead is not one they want to continue with. Their initial instinct is to end their life, thinking they are too far gone.
Enter B, a bene who has been observing them for a while. From what they have seen of A, they could be their saving grace in the lonely heaven B inhabits.
A, who was never religious, tries to send B away in vain. B holds their ground and decides to try and help A improve themselves and their life under pretense that it'll help A become and angel. The truth is, A will be the cure for B's loneliness.

(Sure. Let us do this thing XD)
Amitiel sat on the edge of a glowing blue platform, legs dangling over the expanse of water below. Soon, the Earth's sun would rise, and his light would be invisible to the mortals of this world.
Then came the time when he could float down, hidden in the sunlight, and wander the average lives of average people— it was always the highlight of his decade.

Jay looked at his clock for the fourth time in the past five minutes, it was still around 4 am. He sighed and blinked slowly, standing up out of his small, and pretty uncomfortable, bed. He had to get to work soon, Jay worked at a bad pet syop, he didn't even like animals but it was the only place that was hiring.

A twinge in Amitiel's heart made itself known: he had woken up.
The angel leaped to his full feet, wings fluttering in excitement. A grin split his face and he waited for sun to fully rise, his light shimmering with emotion, growing slightly brighter.

Jay frowned and pulled on his coat, it wasn't that cold he just didn't really want to be noticed today. "Time to be brutally yelled at by an ape who doesn't understand that life is more than screaming at people." He muttered sarcastically, turning the lock with a click.

The second the sun reached its spot, Amatiel had dived off into the sunrise, gliding along towards the earth; to those below, he was a shooting star.
