Suni leaned into the pets, eyes fluttering shut and four tails wagging in appreciations. "I really can't thank you enough, dear. For both helping save my clan and myself."
Suni leaned into the pets, eyes fluttering shut and four tails wagging in appreciations. "I really can't thank you enough, dear. For both helping save my clan and myself."
“ I should be thanking you for not leaving me behind. You had every right to do so.” He said and scooted a little closer to suni “ quick question, what type of fox are you?” He seemed quite intrigued on learning about the other “ are you able to do all of the things a fox can do or just some?”
Suni frowned slightly, gently pressing his hand to the one Kyro had on his cheek, "if it weren't for me you wouldn't have gotten shot." He sighed softly, eyes opening when Kyro got closer. "I'm a kitsune." He replied, a proud smile on his features. I'm have the ability to shift between human a fox. Some kitsune stay compefely human or completely fox. There are a lot of different kitsune among our clan. I'm a fire Zenkikitsune." He explained, waving a hand in the air, summoning a few Sparks and flames
“ that’s amazing..” he said and smiled. “ I’m a bender, but not like most, “ he said and put his hand on the ground. He lifted his hand and pulled up not only water but earth too, though it was causing great strain on himself “ any element I can bend. Haven’t found one yet that opposed that.” He said softly
Suni watched in facination as Kyro pulled earth and water from the ground. Each layer separate from the next. "I've never met someone who could bend all elements, not even a kitsune Ninetails." He admitted, the flame in his hand twining with the water but never touching.
" yeah but its tolling" he said with a huff and dropped the elements. the sweat beading down his forehead. he sighed and looked to suni " you really are something special." he said sweetly
" I'm a mere kitsune, dear." He smiled softly and started checking Kyro's wound. "Let's keep bending to a low now. Unless you desperately need to do so, let your strength recover." He instructed, glancing over his shoulder when his name was called. "Keep pressure on the wound until I come back. If you see a grey haired woman, call her over and she'll take care if you." He said, standing and quickly heading over to a group of foxes once he made sure kyro was alright without him
kyro sighed, how the hell had he developed feelings for the thing that had tried to kill him. he couldnt wrap his mind around it rather then let his mind trail back to suni. he remebered his words about the last man looking at him like he had.. and honestly he felt like he had no shot, but hed try anyway
Suni had been called over to group of young foxes, all snarling and whining at adult foxes. He surpressed a sigh and stalked towards the group, eyeing the teenage members of his clan, expecting an explanation. The older foxes pulled away from the group as Suni settled down. "Since when do we accept dogs into the clan, especially ones that attack you?" A russet fox snarled, shifting to normal and pointing an accusing finger at Kyro. Suni have a warning growl before replying, "since he took a bullet for me. Since his clan abandoned him to suffer alone in this merciless world. Since i decided he'd do more good for this clan than on his own." He retorted, emerald eyes piercing his younger clan mate's hazle ones. Suni and the fox weren't that far apart in age, Suni in his early twenties while the fox hat just reached sixteen. Despite that, Suni displayed a wiser more mature personality that had been favored when he had been chosen by his ancestors as a leader of the Zenkokitsune clan. This along with his reasoning seemed to shut the younger foxes down enough. "If you have an issue with my decision," he continued on softly, "you are more than welcome to discuss that with me once we're back home. But I will not have you antagonize others."
The young Fox glared away but reluctantly nodded, apologized and skunk away with his friends
kyro had heard the convo clearly. he sighed and stood up, walking away to get some fresh air. he understood no one really wanted him here, and that was fine. hed go to a small stream hed seen while running from his clan, sitting down and leaving himself to brew.
Suni shook his head and shifted, stretching out his back before heading over to a few more groups to help the healers or make other foxes comfortable. His last stop was Harrow and Kona. He greeterbthem both with an affectionate nuzzle before he flipped beside them. "Look at our dear leader Kona, once a mighty flame now diminished to a mere flickering spark. Harrow teased, earning him a dark and gentle swat from Suni. He shifted back to normal and hugged a sigh. "I don't know what you're talking about." He pouter, ruffling Kona's hairas the white two tailed pup trotted around. Harrow was the closest to suni's age among the clan and one he considered a brother of his own since they grew up together. So it was only natural that Harrow could read suni's so easily. "Oh please, don't tell me all those intamateboetsband shared night mean nothing to you." Harrow glared with a smirk. "He likes you too, suni."
Suni breathed a laugh and stood. "Sure, as much as anyone could love a Sly fix in any other sense." He mumbled, scanning the area for Kyro.
"Give our greetings to our new clan mate once you find them!""
kyro stayed out by the water, listening for sounds around him. he took a deep breath, every stress, every worry, everything melted around him. the smell of the woods and the fresh water is what gave him this sense of peace and he loved it. eventually he heard the small foot steps and smiled, putting his hand in the cold water
"I'm assuming you heard what we were talking about?" Suni sighed and sat few feet off from Kyro was in case he was upset. "I didn't expect everyone to agree with the decision, nor did I expect for it to spend among the foxes so quickly." He gave an akward laugh before tearing at some grass
kyro nodded " yeah.. i heard.. " he said solemnly. he noticed suni siting farther away " dont be scared. i wont bite you" he teased
"I know," he sighed and walked over, plopping down next to Kyro and watching the water. "You're a shifter right? Considering you have wolfish features." He asked, trying to go off topic from his clan. He shifted and gently nudged Kyro's hand and flatenned his ears to his head.
“ I’ve never done it before..” he said softly and petted Suni. “ so soft..” he mumbled
Suni barked a sting of noises as he was pet, eyes shutting in content. He slowly slumped against Kyro's form, careful not to put pressure on his wounded arm.
kyro smiled, he thought for a moment before nuzzling sunis head a bit, kinda like a kiss on the head but not quite. he was brave but not that brave.
With a grin, Suni nudged his head up into Kyro's nuzzling. He gently pressed the tip of his nose to Kyro's cheek before he pulled away and headed to the water for a drink, making sure not to get to close so he didn't fall in
Kyro smiled " maybe sometime you could teach me how to shift." He said with his cheeks a little pink. " Also.. just .. one more question.. how are you on leading a clan and being in love?" He asked softly
Suni licked his muzzle as he sat up and gazed over at Kyro. He tilted his russet head, wondering how he'd teach a wolf to shift when, usually, a kitsune would be able to shift naturally at very young age. He shifted, about to reply when Kyro asked a completely different question, one he wasn't prepared for. He closed his mouth and glanced away shyly. "I've never been in love. It's a different thing for kitsune than it is for mortal creatures. Once we find someone, if we do, it's a love that'll last forever. If the partner of the kitsune cheats or falls in love with another, the kitsune could die of heart break." He explained softly gaze flickering up to Kyro's. "Why do you ask?"
" I.. it's the same for wolves..just we pair for life. And not knowing who my father is I'll never know how long I actually have… " he said. He could feel the heat in his cheeks. Kyro rubbed at his scar, trying to find the best answer for Suni. " I.. fuck me.. how to say this.." he sighed and looked to suni "I asked b..becausee I think.. I think your really sweet.. and I can't get enough of being close.." he rambled on
Suni blushed as he slowly settled beside Kyro. "You're sure this isn't because if this?" He asked softly, pointing to Kyto's wound. There was no tease or dismissal in his voice. Suni knew all to well just how fragile his heart could be. Just one wrong decision, no matter how his heart fluttered and how many beautiful futures he could imagine, if he wasn't giving his heart to another understanding kitsune, Suni knew he'd die within a few years. "Give me time." He murmured softly, gently resting his head against Kyro's arm. "Let me get my clan to safety, make sure your clan doesn't come after us again. Let me talk yoy sister and make sure you can stay. Then we can try whatever this is."
Kyro nodded " I'm okay with that." He said softly and wrapped his arm around suni. He scratched behind sunis ears softly. " We could probably start heading back. I doubt they'll come after me now that they've disowned me. " He said softly
Suni hesitantly nuzzled into Kyro's side, letting himself relax into his warmth. "You have anew home. If you so choose. My sister is strict but I'm sure I can convince her to make an acception for you." He tilted his head into Kyro's hand. "Yeah, let's go back." He gently pressed a kiss to kyro's cheek before standing
