“Me too,” Matt smiled shyly. “Minus the leg.”

“Oh yeah, how’s your leg?” Carla asked, now looking at his leg.

“It’ll be fine,” Matt said quickly.

“How did it happen?”

“Um. Stumbled. Landed wrong. Nothing too bad,” Matt said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

“You broke your ankle, by stumbling and landing wrong?” Carla asked, then she sighed, “Gosh you’re more clumsy than I anticipated.”

“Yeah, well. I will be me. This is the second tie in two years.”

Carla sighed and shook her head, “Just dont fall of a cliff or something.”

“For that, I’d have to be blind, not just clumsy.”

“So how did you fall?”

“Like I said. Tripped, lost my balance, landed wrong. I’m quite clumsy.”

“Where though?” Carla frowned, “I didn’t hear a thud.”

“Over by the Mars exhibit. It echoed in there, so the voices of all the people kinda covered it up,” Matt explained.

“Off to the side. I don’t really like this sort of thing since… uh… well, you know.”

“No no, I looked around. You weren’t there.”

“Was too,” Matt insisted.

“Nuh uh.” Carla said, “I looked around and asked basically everyone.”

“If it suits you, believe that,” Matt grumbled. “I’m very good at blending in. Also being invisible. I’m invisible to pretty much everyone.”
