Erika sat next to her "Well, I've been told I 'have a big heart'. I care too much for other people's wellbeing. And, If I'm to be frank, I don't care anymore if I'm killed. Chances are, I'm gonna die. So why not try to push everyone else forward?" Erika sighed. "Look, I want to go home as much as you do, but siding with the person trying to kill us is not the way to get there."
Dare scoffed. "That's one way to think about it," she said wryly. "And why isn't it? I got closer than any of the rest of you. If I can figure out something else to offer Zerack…" But she knew that she had exhausted that option. Dare had to admit she was wrong, but… something was stopping her."
(I'm trying to think if Giovanni should be among the dead but I'm gonna feel awful if I kill the deaf boyo)
"He's going to end up using you. He's going to entice you so that you'll never want to go back home. He's going to be your only hope out of this, and all he does is watch while you chase the idea of getting home, never really getting closer. By then, you'll probably be another one of his slaves." Erika frowned. It wasn't like her to share extensively like that.
(Oof why the deaf boy. We have the mentally scared girl who jumps from leaves dropping on the ground, an almost dead guy, someone who wants to go home, an over protective mom waifu, a sister, and a supportive smile waifu. What a roster lmao)
(Yeah I can't have him dead yet…nor the converted feral shadow)
(So, should he show up? I’m not sure what we should do to include him.)
“Well, of course I know that!” Dare snapped. “I was wrong, okay? I messed up really badly, but I’m in too deep now. No one else trusts me, rightfully so, and as terrible as he is, Zerack has power. Real power. So if I sealed my fate to never get home, that’s what happened.” Dare swiped at her face with the sleeve of her sweatshirt, trying to cover up the creeping tears.
"Hey… Crap, I didn't mean to sound like that. I swear, I try to avoid conflict like this, but…" Erika sighed. "I'd do the same thing you did. I don't blame you for anything. You saw an opportunity and took it. I know that, as annoying as your uncle may be, you still love and miss him. It's okay that you want to go home, just… not by killing, okay? That defeats the point of what Ember is trying to do."
(I'll include Gio and the feral in the morning which is approaching soon)
“At this point, I just don’t know. I don’t know how to issue an apology,” Dare admitted. “And they probably won’t be open to accepting one. I really don’t have another choice. I… I do not want to go on like this, but what do I do next?” Dare hated showing any weakness, but she didn’t know what else to do.
"Just show we can trust you." Tempest said as he flipped the cube in his hands, soon completely solved. He put it away and drew into himself "We can do this if we all work together…" could they though? no Tempest need not to think like this.
"Yeah, what he said." Erika smiled. "It's not the end of the world." Erika idly swung her legs optimistically.
“It could be, and it will most likely be,” Dare said sharply. “I… don’t know how to make you trust me again. I messed up on a rather massive scale—hell, at home, I would be in jail awaiting trial right now.”
"Well…" Tempest started "Today is a new day." he told them, pointing to the sky that was slowly getting lighter, signaling that indeed a new day had begun.
(I think this is very dead. F)
(yeah…oh well it was fun while it lasted. F)
