“Give me your hands,” Corbin instructed sharply. This felt all to real to dealing with insurgents over in Afghanistan. He supposed he should treat it like that as well.
“Give me your hands,” Corbin instructed sharply. This felt all to real to dealing with insurgents over in Afghanistan. He supposed he should treat it like that as well.
"Sure." He said again, reaching out his hands. "How long is this going to take? I have a shift at a cafe at four tomorrow." Virgil may not seem it, but he actually was worried for his job.
“Oh, it’s going to be a while,” Corbin said. He grabbed the demon quite roughly by its wrists and turned it around in the same rough manner. He pulled out what appeared to be a set of thick looking cuffs, which he put on the demon’s wrists.
"Well, damn. Do you think I could call in quickly to say I won't be there?" He asked, pretty polite for being cuffed like a prisoner of war. "Anyhow, I'm Virgil. I would say it was nice to meet you, but that has yet to be decided."
“No, you can’t,” Corbin said with a shake of his head. He wouldn’t tell the demon, Virgil, what his name was. “Come on, get moving,” he said sharply, holding onto the other as he gave him a shove.
Virgil raised his eyebrows. "Fine, let's go… Corbin." He said smirking, you can tell a lot about people from their fears.
Sorry it's short…//
Corbin’s jaw clenched at the sound of his name. How the hell could the demon know that about him? He chose not to say anything in response, whistling for Orion to follow as he gave Virgil another shove, beginning to walk.
"Rude, but okay," Virgil mutters, following the man. "You didn't need to shove me, I would've walked." He shrugged, walking.
Corbin didn’t respond to that. He walked with Virgil, eventually reaching a small, one story home. He dug keys from his pocket, opening the door and pulling the demon inside.
Virgil looked around the home, it was actually a bit like Virgil's home in size. "Nice house, it;s homey." He muttered towards the man.
Corbin didn’t respond, again. He walked over to a door and opened it. There was a set of stairs going down, and he began to take Virgil down them.
As soon as they walked into the dark stairway, Virgil's demonic eyes adjusted as he managed to unlock the restraints. I hope he doesn't mind, the handcuffs were just a bit uncomfortable.
Corbin didn’t notice the cuffs unlocked. Once he got Virgil to the floor, he sat the other down firmly in a chair, and then noticed that the cuffs were unlocked. He gave a scoff, and took them off before cuffing his hands to each side of the chair, along with his ankles to tow different chair legs.
"Rude, anyhow! How are you Corbin, you seem stressed." Virgil said, somehow managing to put his hands together in front of his face.
Corbin shook his head. Soon, he had picked up what appeared to be a collar, and put it around Virgil’s neck. “You know what this is?” He asked, picking up a remote and holding it up.
"No, what is it?" Virgil drawled, crossing his arms as he studied the man in front of him. "Let me guess… It's a magic canceling collar that only yoi\u can unlock with all your hunter brilliance."
“Oh, far from anything that amazing or technichal,” Corbin said with a shrug. “That on your neck is a grade A shock collar. The kind used to put on K9’s in the military.”
Virgil leaned his head back, yawning as he spoke. "Ah, so I'm a dog now? Not that that would be terrible, dogs are fucking awesome."
“No, you’re too lowly to be a dog,” Corbin scoffed. “This will get you ready for the buyers, and it will keep you behaved,” he said simply before stepping back towards the stairs.
"Buyers…" Virgil muttered, the word bringing him back into his earlier memories of being in an illegal pet shop, his writs and feet chained and a chocker on his neck. A chocker like this one…
Corbin walked up the stairs, and without another word, shut the basement door. He locked the few locks that were on the door before sliding the deabolt into place for good measures. He smiled down at Orion who was sitting near the door. “We did it, Orion. I don’t know if his breed is rare, but it’ll be at least a months pay.”
Virgil was brought back from the horrid memory by thinking of his little brother, he was doing this for Heath and he would get a job to help Heath and Quin. He began to grab at the collar, his hands becoming the shadowy claws of the rare Fearanis Demon.
Orion seemed to tilt his head to question Corbin. He chuckled a bit at that. “Orion, I can barely afford the power bill. Hell, I keep getting calls about when I am going ot pay my bills. I don’t even have much money left to get us food, boy,” he hummed, stroking Orions head. “But don’t worry, I’m going ot take care of us- one way or another until I can find a place that’ll take some washed up veteran.”
"Damn it." Virgil muttered as one of his claws began to crack. He hadn't been able to feed off mortal fears in a while and because of that, his powers were weak.
Corbin smiled at Orion. “Now, how about some dinner, huh?” He asked, and Orion seemed to perk. Some might have thouht it strange for him to have full conversation with his dog. But Orion was a therapy dog, he was supposed to do that.
