Former winners of the Hunger Games are being put back in the arena. This is an AU where Katniss died in the rebellion, and it's the 86th Hunger Games. (Winners are chosen at random. I will use a random number generator.)

Name: Irvine Jubilee (Nickname is Vi)
18 years old/ Female
Appearance: Yellow blonde hair that is a bit shorter than her shoulders. Her lips are naturally pink, and she has blueish greenish eyes. She has tanned skinned from where she lives, and freckles on her nose.

Personality: She is great with a sword and/or throwing knives. She works well with animals as well.

Hunger Games Life: She lives in District Four, and she volunteered for the Games when she was 15. She is now returning as an 18 year old, but this time she was reaped. She is determined to win, but she is afraid that she will lose her life.

Her Win: When Vi was 15, she was small. Really small, and people underestimated her. She stayed out of the way, just getting by to survive. This was her plan. While the Careers were picking off tributes one by one, Irvine waited. She waited until there were only five people left in the game. One was the other tribute from District 4. She didn't kill him. She couldn't. Instead, she killed a girl from District 5 and a girl from District 2, both of them with her knife-throwing skills. The boy in Vi's district was fatally wounded when a District 3 boy had thrown a knife at his leg. Leaving him to the wilderness, the boy left. Irvine, however, found the boy, whom she recognized from school, two years ahead of her. He told her to win, to make their District proud. He died in her arms, but before Irvine could shed a tear, she went after the final tribute left in the games, the killer of her friend. They had an epic fight, Irvine with two knives, and the other boy with a spear. She killed him, winning her Hunger Games.

Story After The Games: Irvine was proud that she had won for her district, and for her fellow tribute, but being in the Games made her realize that she volunteered for something that should not exist. Killing people for the enjoyment of the viewers was not how one should live a life, so she regretted her choice to volunteer. When she got home, she didn't live in the new houses supplied for the victors. Instead she went to her old home, where she stayed for a solid week, crying. She mourned the loss of her fellow tribute, whom she now called friend, and she mourned the loss of her childhood. After her mourning time, Irvine hardened. She could still be kind, but she was often very silent.

Name: Calissa Ehrendell (I know it's a Mary Sue-ish name, but I figured that that sort of names would be common in the higher up-districts, like 1 and 3)

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Sexuality: Bisexual (but tries to convince herself that she's straight)

Birthdate: July 31, (I don't know what years the Hunger Games take place)

Height: 5'4

Weight: 105 lbs (Calissa was underweight and short due to lack of enough nutrients. She has more than, say, District 12, but not as much as we would normally get.)

Appearance: USED to have long wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes, and an olive complexion. After though, Calissa hacked off her hair to her chin, to represent her changing throughout the course of the Games. She also got a gem embedded right underneath her eye in the form of a tear. Her appearance, as well as the color of the gem, changes from year to year.

Clothing: Again, her clothing. Before, it was plain and simplistic, with a gray jacket, white shirt, and black leggings. The only spot of color was a white and red striped scarf that she got from her mother. After she won the Games, she dresses according to the Capitol trends, but you will see that she rarely wears a scarf, especially not if it's red and white.

Personality: Like I said multiple times before, the Games changed Calissa to the max. She used to be really nice, helpful, and optimistic, but after the Games, it would look as if she was close to the same person, but a bit more vain and frivolous, more materialistic. Note the 'LOOK as if,' However, she actually became scheming and hard-hearted, very manipulative. But still has a tiny, tiny soft spot.

Likes: Training with her Taser in the training room (very private, virtually no one knows), her personal library from the old days that's top-secret (otherwise President Snow would kill her and burn the books)

Dislikes: The champagne she pretends to like, most human beings in general, partying, girls that try and flirt with her (because inner homophobia)

Fears: Being back in the arena, having her library found out, showing weakness, that someone will find out that she's bi (The Capitol wouldn't really care but pretend to be outraged, District 3 will shun her)

Backstory: Okay. So this is set in an AU where the rebellion was put down and Katniss Everdeen was executed. It's the 76th Hunger Games. Calissa was reaped from District 3. She was weak, and fragile, but clever. She teamed up with a powerful player by blackmailing them, until he stabbed her in the back- literally- after she fell in love with him. After the other person from her district rescued her, she healed slowly and swore vengeance on the person who betrayed her. Calissa was naive and shy until then, but something about that day changed her into someone who would do anything- ANYTHING- to end up on the winning side. So she manipulated that other girl (the guy tried to run away, so they brought in a transgender girl. That transgender girl had to put her name in both bowls, which was totally unfair, but District 3 was anti-LGBT, so…) from District 3 into helping her. Calissa then used some wire that she found into making a trap that was inspired from the 75th Hunger Games. She lined a clearing with thin wire, almost invisible, then generated some form of electricity to turn it into an electric fence. The girl she manipulated led the other tributes (by stealing their stuff) into the clearing. At this point in the plan, Calissa had promised the other girl that she would rescue him. She built a fake device and gave it to the girl, saying that if he held it while the others ran into a fence, she would be safe from the electric currents.
Calissa lied.
When the tributes hit the fence, the girl got cut up like everyone else. The only person who survived was the one who betrayed Calissa in the first place. She grabbed a sword and hunted until she found him. When he begged for mercy, she stabbed him in the back over and over again. Calissa won. The end.
However, she forgot one thing: the other girl KNEW she was going to die.
Calissa, in her want for revenge, was short sighted. The other girl was from District 3, so OF COURSE she would know that the device wouldn't work. However, LGBT+ relationships were shunned in District 3 more than anywhere else. So she decided, I would die if Calissa does not change her mind and save me.
Calissa never changed her mind. The girl died.

Other: She will never not pay back a debt. Ever. about the debt thing… it wasn't because of Calissa killing the traitor, it was about her killing the girl from her district. See, Calissa fell in love with her while she healed her. Only two things held Calissa back:
1) District 3 was a no homo zone.
2) When she was little, she rewatched the tapes of the 74th and 75th Hunger Games. Katniss Everdeen was her role model, the best person she'd ever seen, the one who did all that for love. But when she finally asked her parents at age 6 where Katniss was, her parents told her that she had died. However, Calissa still believed that love was you know, amazing.
But after the District 1 backstabber, she finally realized that love made you weak. Love was useless.
So to stifle her feelings of love for that girl from her district, she killed her. I know, that's pretty messed up. The logic she used was: I'm going to have to kill her anyway, why not do it before I start falling in love with her?
But after the games, her love for that girl didn't go away. It started growing stronger with guilt and cried out because she had killed him. In Calissa's mind, the debt she owed that girl who healed her in the arena can never be repaid, but she can try.
(I'm sorry if this sounds so cheesy and Mary Sue-ish)

She won by acting innocent, using her age and status, to lure people to her and killing them. She kept the act up the whole time. She kept alliances, but let people think she had allied with them, even though she never made a verbal agreement. She was 12 at the time.
