Afriel rushed back and pulled the bread from the oven with a small sigh. The bread wasn't to burnt, but it still couldn't be served to customers.
Afriel rushed back and pulled the bread from the oven with a small sigh. The bread wasn't to burnt, but it still couldn't be served to customers.
Zackary trotted out of the back room. He still was dusted head to toe in flour.
“Didja save it, Afriel?”
(Ack sorry I though I'd responded.)
Afriel sighed, "well, its kinda saved? But I can't server it." She placed it on a counter. "If you want to risk it you can have it."
(Das oki)
Zackary gazed hungrily at it. "Mmm… let's wait for Enda to get back."
"Yeah alright." Afriel sighed and glared at the bread before looking to Zackary. "You should really was up."
Zackary looked around. “Nah, I’ll be okay for now.” He grinned.
"You'll be okay, but I'm pretty sure I'll have to clean up your mess." Afriel gave him a small frown.
Zackary gave her a loopy smile. “Daw don’t be that way. I’m hilarious.”
"Well I guess your face is pretty hilarious at the moment." Afriel shot him a small grin.
“Exactly. And I’m covered in flour. It’s kind of hard not to laugh.”
Afriel resisted the urge to dust more flour off and make a bigger mess. "Hm, no I think you just have a funny face."
“Wonderful. That’s my point in life. I can die a happy man.”
Afriel laughed lightly. "What happened to not wanting to be dead?"
Zackary fluffed out his wings. “I don’t really care anymore. I’m not going back to Hell, that’s for sure.”
"Are you saying you've changed?" Afriel tilted her head at him. "That you'd go to heaven?"
Zackary shook his head. “I’d go to Purgatory. My wings are graying out, see?” He raised his wings up. The joints and the tips of the wings were a dove gray.
Afriel took a step closer to touch his wings, taking a moment to think before speaking again. "Maybe they'll continue to fade. Or you know, you're just getting old." She joked.
Zackary laughed gently. “I hope not. I want them to fade. They’re a nuisance.”
"The black?" Afriel continued to run her hands over the faded spots, "I think they're nice."
Zackary shrugged. “It gets tiring when you see it all the time, I assure you.”
"Huh, is that why you fell in the flour then?" Afriel shot him a grin.
Zackary laughed and shook the flour out of his wings. “Noooo. That was actually my own clumsiness.”
Eden walked into the kitchen and gasped, "what did y'all do? Why is there flour everywhere?"
Afriel pointed at Zackary like a little kid. "His fault, not mine."
Zackary started to hastily sweep the flour back into his wings. “Wh-what flour? There’s no flour!”
Eden glared at them both before sighing. "The shop will be closed for the rest of the day so y'all can go out and have fun. AFTER you clean up."
