(Oh its totally chill. The creep could have been an evil bunny if you want.)
"Well I mean, its been pretty good. I guess." Afriel peeked up at Zackary.

"Well I mean, its been pretty good. I guess." Afriel peeked up at Zackary.
(Yes an evil bunny sounds great)
Zackary glanced at her. “That’s good. Great to hear.”
"Mmhm." Afriel continued to nibble on her food. "The foods uh great, thanks."
Zackary grunted. “You’re welcome. I probably should’ve taken it apart, sorry.”
"No its uh, its okay. I'm not really hungry at the moment." Afriel offered a shy smile as she sat down the food.
Zackary gave a little nod. “I’ll find a way to preserve cooked meat so we can have it later, then.”
"Right, sorry. I'm going to bed." Afriel curled up where she sat, her wings coming around herself in a protective circle.
“That’s alright,” Zackary quietly hummed. “‘Night. Sleep well.” He tightened his wings around his legs.
"You too." Afriel closed her eyes, trying to welcome sleep. Even though it was impossible at the moment.
Zackary threw a few more sticks into the fire and scootched closer to it, warming his face and knees in it. He turned his head this way and that with his eyes shut to ensure an even warming process.
Afriel felt the warmth at her back and shifted over so she faced the fire. She peeked out of her wings watching Zackary, "think there's any pear trees near by?"
Zackary turned his head to look at her. “Why? Wanna get rid of me?” He gave a gentle laugh.
Afriel gave him a small grin, "perhaps." She poked her head out if her wings. "Or perhaps not."
Zackary raised his chin a little. “I’ll just sit here and tend to the fire. There’s no need to get restless.”
Afriel pulled back into her wings as she spoke, "I wasn't implying anything if that's what you're thinking."
Zackary glanced over his shoulder at her. “I didn’t pick anything up out of the ordinary.”
"Uh-huh. Well now I'm really going to sleep. Night." Afriel turned so her back was facing the fire and finally let sleep claim her.
(Skip a few days?)
(Sure.)
The pair had made themselves comfy over the next few days, figuring out how to make beds from rocks, sticks and comfy looking leaves. Zackary salvaged together a whole bunch of sticks and small things to burn for their spit and fire, and was just hoarding them. He also dug a hole, figured out how to boil water so they had fresh water (from the vapor (survival tips from Fork Satan) vapor is always freshhh). He a smartie pants.
Afriel faught with her hair, pulling at the tangles with her fingers. "So! I'm starting to think the cave was better." She joked fingering out a rather large knot.
Zackary was fishing around for large sticks in his haul. “It’s not as open. It was so cramped in there.” His wings shivered just thinking about it.
"Yeah, but the dust was better then, dirt and leaves?" Afriel shrugged giving up with her hair. "Need any help?"
Zackary tossed a large stick over his shoulder. “Nah, I’d rather that. Yeah, I’m planning to go wash off in the lake, so you can stay here and fish around for more sticks I can use for the spit.”
"Sure." Afriel stood and stretched. "Go wash up." She started looking for spit worthy sticks that would hopefully light easily.
