Shall we begin ensuing some shenanigans?
Of course! This is my first roleplay so I don't really know how to start plot-wise, but my character is
Masalee
She looks about average with long hair tied back and the sky blue uniform of a neophyte member of the Watch (basically a police force)
Should you listen to nosy shopkeepers converse, you may hear rumors of a scandal forcing Masalee to move where no one knows her.
A kinder shopkeeper may say that she seems nice, and found her missing necklace she lost a while back.
A patron may chime in that she's sociable enough, but something's off about her
Mind if I hop in?
Don't worry, this is my first rp too,
My character is Willow, she's like 20 and has brown hair in a ponytail and wears worn clothes with no specific logo or pinpoint (Idk how to phrase that).
How do you want to do the plot or where do you want this to lead?
Anyone is welcome at any time!
I was thinking this would start in your classic high fantasy village, but I'm not sure where it would go from there, especially since my focus is mostly on my character's interactions. If you have any ideas, please go ahead!
I mean, my character could be a criminal or something and you character could be assigned to arrests them and we could build of that
That could be really interesting!
Cool, do you wanna start or build more knowledge of what's we're gonna start with
Masalee crouched at the edge of the rooftop, looking for some sign of her bounty. Willow was her name? She was supposed to hang around this area of town. Masalee consulted the paper listing information. (I have to go for like 20 minutes sorry! I'll be back though)
(its fine, and I hope you don't mind I write in first person, if you don't want me to I can change)
I sit at the bar in the tavern, taking small sips form my ale. I like to keep on the road but I can't help but return to this place every month or so, that's a flaw. I can't afford flaws. See, I'm what you could call a necromancer and that's illegal all because some stupid person thinks raising and talking to the dead is a "bad thing", its not, its fun.
(I have no problem with first person, but just make sure it's clear who you are especially if more people join)
Still no sign of her. Maybe a shopkeeper would know something? In Masalee's experience, no one is a greater gossip than a shopkeeper. Gracefully jumping from the rooftop, she walked over to the nearest establishment, Point's Tavern, and entered. She wasn't used to the attention her uniform gave her, and while she would have found it uncomfortable in the past, she didn't mind it so much now.
(I could say it is my characters pov at the top but that might get annoying Idk I could try it out)
Willows POV
I hear the door open and out of habit look to see who it is and I notice the uniform, screaming swears in my head I look back over the bar in hopes they didn't notice who I am. They might not even be here for me, they might just want to get drunk, I know I do but I need to leave now just in case. I listen carefully to their footsteps as they begin to walk forward.
Masalee saw her out of the corner of her eye, thanking all that is holy she didn't have to search the whole town. Willow visibly tensed as she entered though. Not wanting to scare her away just yet, Masalee walked up to the bartender appearing to engage in casual conversation. It would help them not get in her way if they knew why she was here.
Willows POV
Out of the corner of my eye I see her, I think, I can tell she is confident in herself, she's also probably strong and agile. She doesn't give off any signs of trying to find me in perticular but you can never be to safe. I put the right amount of money on the counter, turn my back to her and begin to walk out at a seemingly calm pace.
Too late for subtlety. I nod to the barkeeper and catch up with my target, tapping her shoulder. "Willow, is it?"
(Oops! I didn't notice I was writing in first person! It's contagious!)
"No, i'm Sergei, you must be mistaking me for someone else," I curse my brain because Lord why did I say my name was Sergei, she is not gonna buy that.
I didn't buy that for a second. I grab her wrist like we're two friends catching up, and start pulling her towards the prison. This may be the easiest job I've had in a while.
Aw heck, this is not good.
I grab her wrist, pull mine out of her grip and book it in the opposite direction. I run towards the grave yard, I'll have the advantage there.
(Oh! I forgot to say this earlier, but Masalee wears a leather bracer on her left arm and you can see bits of a tattoo on her shoulder. This may or may not be important, that depends on your curiosity)
(I am indeed a rather curious being)
The thing about necromancers is that they're pretty weak until they have something to reanimate. If Willow gets to the graveyard, I may not stand a chance at capturing her today at least. I tackle her to the ground.
(How do I resolve physical conflicts between our characters while keeping it realistic and not like 'and then I pull out a nuke!' 'oH YeAH?? Well I magic it away!!!'?)
(Idk I don't do this much but I'm just gonna think of it like my character needs to get to the grave yard thus she will bite, pull hair, punch her way there and get really gritty with her fighting in adrenaline and instincs but idk)
