What sort of genre do you normally write in?

Hey! I normally write realistic fiction with a twist. Does that make sense?

Hmm. Now that I think about it I don't know if you would call it realistic fiction. It's more realistic in the way that the characters are very fleshed out. But anyways the twist would be like superpowers.

Ah! So modern fantasy is your style? (What's the timesetting? As in what kind of world do they live in?)

Do you mind if I join in too? This sounds interesting, and I'd be glad to RP with someone new.

And for @Starlight-Unicorn, I'd say that my usual stories start in our real world. But I like to change up the time period for each story to keep it interesting.

Cool, so mainly modern fantasy.
I was just trying to get a handle on what genre you write so I can pull out a character to adapt to whatever plot the lot of us come up with.

Sweet, now we just need to come up with a plot. Any ideas?

So from what I understand, you want to do something with powers. Is it superpowers, magic, are there magical nonhuman races? Does everyone have powers or just a few? Is it publicly known about?
Just some things that might help us get started.

That's fine and, honestly, I'm not the best with ideas either. And I've always wanted to improvise so…what if we did some type of dramatic, scandalous, and extremely crazy plot (don't judge I haven't had the most exciting day today) that involves a very successful family that donates money to a very controversial genetic engineering company that has been lurking in the shadows (for way too long, if you ask me).

Hmmm… sounds like a plan, maybe the company has also been experimenting on natural half humans too?
(Most of my characters aren't full humans so….)

Hmm, I'd say that only a few people have powers, not necessarily magical though, and that it's not publicly known, yet. And maybe this genetic engineering company "accidentally" creates a new, non-human race.
