"Yeah…" Otto sighed.
They reached the camp around lunchtime. The whole place was a mess. People were milling around and shouting.

Sofia sighed and looked up. "This is all way too familiar," she muttered.
Polaris stared in horror at nothing, absolute shock filling her. Who would want to kill him? Why? Now they were the ones all getting the blame? She took a shaky breath, looking at the ground as she followed the others.
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing, it's not important," she said quietly, looking back towards the ground. She swore under her breath and shook her head.
(How should I jump in?)
(Right here.)
Otto stopped a random girl. "Have they found out who did it yet?"
Siff shook her head. "No, but there's evidence."
"Evidence? Really?" she asked.
Otto patted Siff's shoulder. "Let's go."
Sofia just kind of stood there, shifting from foot to foot.
Siff nodded.
Seth was astounded. "Evidence? We have to put this together before it can be pinned on anyone innocent."
Sofia shook her head and began walking in the opposite direction of the tent.
"Sofie! Where you going?"
"Nowhere, it doesn't matter," she muttered, not looking back.
"No it does." He grabbed her arm.
Seth was astounded. "Evidence? We have to put this together before it can be pinned on anyone innocent."
Siff nodded. "Let's go then."
She looked down at her arm and sighed. "Why?" she asked, looking him in the eyes.
"Because…" He sighed. "The chief just got murdered and I'm gonna need your help to find out who did it."
"I won't be much help, honestly I'll just get in the way, but fine," she muttered, crossing her arms.
"Good." He nodded. "Let's go."
Rosanna overheard the conversation. Not the chief! He was the one who had found her, starving, alone in the vast city. The memory pained her.
