//I can write a bit for the party? I can’t rp very long tonight tho
(I’m not good at starting so…)
"Good evening." Theta dipped into a curtsey, her pale pink lips curving up into a smile. She felt her mask of rose gold slipping, and used one finger to secure it back into place. It had been rather easy to persuade Rose, daughter of Sleeping Beauty, to stay at home that night. Rose was rather known for being a chatterbox, albeit being deadly with a whip. But hey, there's nothing Theta loved more than a challenge. "It's a lovely night."
“It is,” Reyna agreed coolly. She glanced off towards the edge of the party for a moment before looking back at the woman in front of her. “Your mask is beautiful.” Her own was a painted wood meant to resemble a bird.
"Thank you so much," Theta said, smiling. "Pink is a lovely color. Don't you think it rather suits me, Miss…"
“Call me Alpha for now, I suppose,” she responded. “It is a masquerade, after all. And yes, it does suit you.”
"Thank you so much," Theta smiled. "Call me Rose. Daughter of Sleeping Beauty. Your mask is very nice, as well. Let me take a guess… are you from Wonderland? I don't know a lot of fairytales with birds in them, but the caucus race certainly comes to mind when thinking of birds."
Reyna laughed lightly, picking up her cup for a sip before replying. “Is it that obvious?”
Althea walked around the party stopping at a large window to fix her mask. She sighed and looked outside. The night was almost as black as her dress. She didn’t understand why she decided to come but not everything made sense when the dark fairy was involved. Reyna laughed lightly, picking up her cup for a sip before replying. “Is it that obvious?”
"No, I had to think for a bit while you were talking," Theta admitted. "So, who are you the daughter of? Alice? Mad Hatter?"
(Hey, hey fren, can I come John n in the conversation?)
Oliver had walked around the perimeter of the party so far, not daring to talk to many people. All he had done so far was search for any recognizable faces or people, though after finding none, he retreated towards a table. Teacups and platters were scattered on top of the wooden surface, though he pushed them aside and sat crosslegged on the table.
Madelyn shifted uncomfortable in the stolen clothes. There wasn't near as much fabric as she would like. She twisting the mask around she covering her face with the laugh demon that had a permeant smile, hiding her own scowling face. The bells rand softly with every step she took. This is such a risk. She shuffled the cards from hand to hand doing little flourishes. I don't remember learning to do this She thought wile looking around the party.
Althea sat down at a table and started making wisp of magic in different shapes
Madelyn ran though all the precautions she put in place not to be recognized. Clothes from the red court, different hair color, big mask, and a heavily painted face. The only thing were the eyes, only select few knew about her eyes and even then she could maybe play it off as a costume. She pocketed the cards and began wandering amongst the crowd.
Oliver's gaze skimmed over a few figures, taking in the odd makeup and extravagant hair that some were wearing. Compared to them, his disguise seemed a bit muted; a simple white, porcelain mask that covered one half of his face with blue wisps of smoke and silver etchings that made up the detailing. It seemed to make his icy eyes stand out more. Oliver let out a faint hum as he continued to look through the crowd, trying to see if he could recognize any old friends.
Madelyn bumped into a boy with a porcelain masked boy," Um, sorry," She said from behind her mask, "I should have been looking were I was going."
“…where I was going.” Althea overheard and looked over to see two people in very extravagant costumes standing just a few feet away
"No…no, it's fine," Oliver said after a moments pause, studying the girl who stood a few inches shorter than him. The clothing and mask she seemed to be wearing appeared to be from the red court, though her oddly colored eyes stood out starkly from the red hues. "I always run into people, so I should be the one looking at where I'm going," he added with a faint smile.
Madelyn smiled from behind the mask, "I do to, sometimes i just don't see people, but I guess we can both share the blame."
Althea came out from the shadows slightly. She could now clearly see the details in the girls outfit
Oliver let a light chuckle escape him as he continued to study the girl, tilting his head to the side after a few moments. "So, the red court, huh?" He questioned, motioning to her intricate costume.
"Such a bold thing to ask a girl," Madelyn smiled, "So just who are you, to ask such a question?" she shifted her wait to the other foot making of bells ringing around her again.
"Oh, I'm not that important…I was just a little lost, so I decided to come here," Oliver said with a small shrug, finding it intriguing when the girl directed the conversation away from herself. After all, why else would she be wearing a costume like him?
