Althea looked around after putting a hardcover book back on the shelf. "Hey Thea, I found something!" Orion said, coming back with a black leather covered book. She took it from him and flipped through the pages before stopping on a page. "This picture seems familiar." She said, tracing the drawing. It reminded her of the card she picked up off the ground at the party.
(Yeah, it's fine)
Oh, the things they don't know, Madelyn thought turning to a book shelf. "You're tricksters, but thats not quite the same thing. The two of you aren't cursed the same way I am." She grabbed a book off the shelf, "There are so many warning signs surely no one can ignore them all."
Chester and Chelsea glanced at each other.
“New people can’t see warning signs.” Chester shrugged.
"I suppose so," Madelyn sighed, The twins had to be wrong, but there is no point arguing with them. She flipped through the nonsense pages. "So then what do you think of these new people?"
“Suspicious.” Chelsea answered without hesitation.
“Too coincidental.” Chester quickly added.
“Fate’s games.”
“Judgy.”
“Secretive.”
“Surprising.”
“Cute.”
“New.”
“What about you?” The twins asked, “What do you think?” They grabbed a book and flipped through.
Madelyn dropped the useless book to the floor and pulled another one, "In a single word destined," She took simply a breath before explaining. "The two of you know about my condition. Normally I'm locked into the past reliving event's or memories, but these people when I was around them tonight I felt like I was being forced down a path. I experience things that will be part of our shared future, a future that is apparently destined. I felt like a choice was being taken away from me." This time she put the the book spine facing towards the wall. "I just hope it was for the best and this will all work out." She took another book down from the shelf, "After all what choice do we have now?"
“We don’t have any choices. All we have is an illusion of choice.” Chester grinned, quickly putting the book back.
“Fate is like that. We’re all just Fate’s toys.” Chelsea smiles, shaking her head.
"Well I don't like thinking that way and simply thats not how I get the privilege of seeing it." Madelyn started, "Life is a series of choices we get to make and those choices have determined out comes. Although we rarely get to know the outcome before hand we still have to a make a choice. Those choices are what defines who we are. The types of people we were explain who we are and will set the stage for the type of people we will become." She took another book down. "We get to chose the paths we walk. Everything we do opens and closes doors, opening new paths or blocking old ones. Fate is what happens after we chose wile free will is the fact we get to chose. What is wrong with our current situation is that we did not get to chose and that is unfair."
Althea read some of the pages before frowning "I think Maddie might know more about it." She muttered to herself. She decided to go try and send a message to her. Enchanting a slip of paper, she threw it in the air and it dis6over the shelves, on it's way to the other girl.
(Just a message that they have a book with the drawings of the Tarot cards)

Chelsea glanced at Madelyn and closed her book. “Sure. We’ll go with that.”
“These books are not helpful at all. Are we even looking in the right section?” Chester asked, putting two books back into the shelves.
"What do you not like my personal view on free will?" Madelyn laughed a little not particularly caring what they thought. "Anyways this place has no organizational system, but it also has all the possible combinations of words and letters. So in short it's completely chaos."
“It’s not that.” Chester answered quickly.
“Figured. This book is just full of pictures.” Chelsea sighed, “No words at all.”
“We’re going to be here for years.”
“Eons.”
“Can we even live that long?”
“If you enough cheese and tea.”
“Speaking of cheese, I found a book about cheese.” Chester proudly showed off the book.
Althea tugged on the rope around her waist and started walking back to the entrance. Few minute later, she and Orion were sitting on the floor, near a window, reading the book of tarot cards
"I'm a bit more of cookies and tea person, but cheese is good too I guess." Madelyn smiled and looked down at the pages of her book were a loose leaf of paper had settled. Magic, she thought with some distaste, I suppose some of the people in the group could use it. "Alright pack it up," She informed the twins,"We might have a lead." she pushed the book back on the shelf wile taking the piece of paper.
Orion tied a rope around his waist and went into the rows of shelves. Coming back a few minutes later, he had a few books in his hands. Most about magic and a few on crimes.
(CPR!)
Madelyn moves back to the entrance. "Well that was shockingly fast, but what exactly did you find?" she asked neatly spooling up the thread that was her tether and looking at the large stack of book currently set on the steps.
"This book has pictures that match the one I found on my card." She muttered
(I'm envisioning that they have a very basic idea of what a tarot card is)
"Images don't mean much unless the text is legible," Madelyn walked across the room "Did you try to read it?"
"Couldnt understamd it." She shrugged
"As in a language you don't know or incoherent ramblings?" Madelyn asked. her eyes wandered over to the books looking over each of the titles. "You seemed to bring a lot back with you."
“Like cheese.” Chester added thoughtfully.
“And crackers.” Chelsea said, acting as if though what she said actually contributed to the conversation.
"More like I didnt understand the significance of the pictures. Orion got those books." She muttered, gesturing to the tuft of black hair, peeking from behind a chair
"A good book should explain the imagery in the cards." Madelyn almost began to explain. Do books not work the same where they are from? She asked herself.
