"Don't worry. Beni won't hurt you."
"Don't worry. Beni won't hurt you."
"Umm……….Beni's a girl………."
"Righttttttt… sorry I've never seen one to begin with so I have no idea how to tell…"
(Lata's mind: fRICK fRICK fRICK fRICK fRICK fRICK fRICK fRICK)
Becca sat down quietly. "Yeah so……………I'm guessing that we all have powers of some sort??"
"Yup. Oh and speaking of that, everyone name something you like."
"I-I wouldn't say powers… but… wings…" Lloyd looked away, not even bothering with trying to conceal the tips of his wings anymore. "And I like books.. a-and science."
Lata closes her eyes and imagines a stack of books sitting at Lloyd's feet. She then summons her magic and creates them from thin air and makes them float up one by one around his head.
"I've been wanting to do this again for so long! It feels so good to use my magic again…"
Lloyd almost fell out of the chair, startled. "H-how…? I should just stop asking questions now, shouldn't I? I'm talking too much…"
Becca smiled and leaned back on the table leg of one of the tables in the book/antique shop her grandfather owned and ran. "I like reading a book while drinking coffee in the widow seat over there……….." She said pointing to a window seat. "And I love flowers too."
She gave a small smile. "They aren't real however. My ability is to create illusions."
She began to create flowers of all kinds float down on top of Becca's head.
"Hmm…" Lloyd touched one of the books, his hand passing slowly through the illusion. He shivered a bit, as it felt rather like running his hand through ice water.
(Is that even how the illusions work)
(yeah)
(Okay cool)
(I gtg sleep. Byeeeee)
(Eeeeeeeeeeeee)
Becca smiled peacefully as Beni swiped at the illusions.
(I gtg sleep. Byeeeee)
(Aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww m'kay night)
“My power’s a lot more destructive than your guys’s,” Ferryn laughed. Her face turned passive, and she seemed to be concentrating - then the lights flickered.
"Technically I don't have a power. I'm… I'm not even human."
“That’s magic enough for this world,” she said, glancing up. Another small burst of electricity popped from her hands.
Lloyd watched the electricity curiously, wondering how the magic worked.
Seeing him watch, she smiled and lit a glowing ball of light in her hand. “This is as far as I can go with light, but it’s pretty.”
