@Natasha
Becca nodded her head towards the shop they were in front of. In a low voice she said, "We'll be safe in my grandfather's shop."
Becca nodded her head towards the shop they were in front of. In a low voice she said, "We'll be safe in my grandfather's shop."
She stepped up behind the guy who seemed to be doing poorly at hiding his wings. "I dunno if it's just me, but these look like wings…"
“You have wings,” she repeated, smiling.
“Who… Who are you?”
Lloyd's heart pounded and he gulped, looking terrified. You've really done it now, haven't you? Now there's no way you can hide it.
Ferryn put her hands in between everyone and let lightning dance across them.
Becca sighed and grabbed Lloyd and Ferryn by the arms and motioning for Lata to follow, dragging them into the shop.
"The real question is why you all are standing here in the middle of lots of people nearly exposed?" Lata replied teasingly
"I-I didn't intend to!" Lloyd stumbled a bit as he was dragged, but he got his footing back. He wasn't sure what good going into this shop would do, but he didn't really seem to have much of a choice in the matter.
“I didn’t mean to, it’s just there’s rumors flying around magic users kidnapped the king and it’s making me nervous, because what if someone finds out? And I haven’t got great control, and my lightning acts up if I’m nervous and there was also burns found on carpets?” She rambled.
"Relax, I wouldn't tell anyone. Just pulling your chains a bit." she said with a smirk as she followed them into the shop.
Becca closed the shop door behind them and switched the sign to 'closed'. "Relax." She pulled down the blinds and turned the lights on.
“Is it weird that I feel even more unsafe without the king? Besides the whole ‘burn all magic and their users!’ Thing, he was a good king and most people, recognize that. He was also fair, but now he’s gone with signs of a magic user behind it, people are going to hate magic users even more and if we caught the consequences could be horrible because they won’t offer a trial like the king would and it’d probably be a gruesome death too.”
Lloyd sat down on a chair, trying to slow down his breathing. He seemed close to tears, thinking that he'd be burned at the stake or something for being an angel.
"Hey, hey don't cry!" she exclaimed, trying to think of a way to calm him down.
The sparks were becoming bigger and flying a little farther. “This entire situation is kind of terrifying I mean what are we even supposed to do?”
"Ummm… Uh, here. Name one thing you really like."
This is gonna be fun…
"Okay. First, y'all need to take a deep breath. Then–" She was interrupted by Beni zooming out of her pocket and growing to the size of a hawk. "BENI!!!!"
“The rain??” Ferryn said. She didn’t know if Lata was talking to her, but it sounded like it could help her stop panicking. “Singing. Art. My house.”
"I-I dunno, reading?" I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die!
Her eyes grew at the size of the creature. "Woah…"
“That’s a cool- dragon??” She spun around. “Oh wow.”
Lloyd cried out a bit at the sight of the dragon before quickly covering his mouth.
Beni made a little trumpeting sound. "Oh hahaha. You think you're so funny, don't you?" Becca asked, Beni snorting happily.
"Ohmygodhessocool"
