"Let's just get our butts moving and see how things go. We don't want a big buff dude trained for fighting to leave us alone in England." Niall checked to make sure the coast was clear, and, grabbing his friends by the arms, took off into the brush.
Anna followed him silently, nothing else to say.
Ceana followed Niall through the underbrush agilely, making sure Anna was following every few minutes. "How do you know your way around so well?"
(omg I forgot about this rp)
(OMGGG YES)
"You really think I sit around in a castle all day?" Niall laughed tiredly. "What's the point in that?"
"It's safer than wandering around, where you could be killed," Anna pointed out.
"Niall has about a hundred guards just one whistle away. He's practically untouchable." Ceana told Anna.
She went silent. Ceana was right. Anna kicked a stone in annoyance. Niall didn't have to worry about anything.
Ceana looked down, puzzled, as the pebble Anna had kicked skidded past her. What had she said to annoy her. "How long is this trip?" She tried changing the subject.
"A few thousand miles, which is why we need to hurry up."
Ceana huffed and increased her pace, slowing down only when she was level with Niall.
Do they really think I can't handle myself?
Niall knew they were just making small talk, but the remark still cut him like a knife. He turned away and increased his pace even more.
"Niall, slow down," Anna said, struggling to keep up.
Ceana looked back at her. "You ok, Anna?"
Niall slowed irritably and turned to face his friends once more. "You guys okay back there?"
"Yes, I'm fine," she growled, not looking at her friends. "I just don't have a lot of energy, and you guys are going too fast."
Ceana debated. "Well, you asked for it." She scooped up Anna into her arms and took off running after Niall.
"Hey!" Anna said, surprised. "No, that's just going to slow you down!"
Ceana stared ahead determinedly and sped up, holding Anna closer.
Anna huffed and twisted into an owl, flapping her wings furiously while trying to escape Ceana's grip.
Ceana cried out when Anna's sharp owl talons dug into her and slashed her arm as the bird flew away. She slowed for a moment, grit her teeth together and tightly tied her ripped sleeve around her arm. "However you do it, Anna, follow," she recommended sourly.
Anna glanced back at Ceana. She faltered when she realized that her talons had hurt her. Upset, she tilted her wings and dove into the shadows of the trees.
