Eve smiled gently and traced Anya's face with her fingertips. "There has to be something."

Anya turned her face “ n..no eve I don’t think their is..”

Eve frowned. "Is there something wrong?"

“ you feel.. far away.. your usually connected with me.. I don’t feel it anymore..” she mumbled and pushed past eve

Eve watched her go, narrowing her eyes. She quickly followed Anya and shot a blast of magic to knock her to the ground. "Maybe that's your fault."

Anya gasped as she fell backwards “ e..eve? What.. what do you mean?!”

"Maybe it's your fault we're not as connected as we used to be," she snapped, firing another blast.

Anya cried out. She wasn’t fighting what so ever. “ eve stop!” She yelped

"No!" the girl snarled. "You ruined my life!"

Anya tear up “ i.. I thought you loved me?” She whimpered

The girl's eyes narrowed as she used Eve's body to express her own tangled emotions. "I could never love you! How could I after what you did to me?!" She reared back for another blast, but she was suddenly blown backward and landed roughly at the end of the hall.

Behind Anya, the owner of the magic stood, her naturally brown eyes turned silver-blue and narrowed in cold fury.

Anya was shaking, not rendering what happened as her hands covered her ears.

Farah rushed to Anya and knelt beside her. "Anya?" she asked worriedly, examining her. "Are you hurt?"

“ n..no, “ she mumbled, moving her hands “ what’s going on?!”

"I'm not entirely sure," Farah replied, glaring up at the girl who was pushing herself up across from them. "But that is not my daughter. I know what her magic feels like."

“ I can’t feel her either..” she said softly

Farah rose to her feet as not-Eve stalked towards them. "Who are you?" she demanded.

The girl twisted Eve's lips into a smirk. "Just a girl looking for revenge."

Anya’s eyes widened “ for what?” She whimpered

She snorted. "Haven't I told you already?! You ruined my life!" Her finger pointed directly at Anya, and she shot another bolt of magic.

Farah quickly stepped in front of Anya and redirected it back at the girl, who dodged in the nick of time.

Anya was utterly scared “ I haven’t done anything?! Where’s eve?!”

The girl laughed, a short, barking sound. "Of course, you don't remember me! Why would you?"

Farah glared at her. "That's enough."

“ where’s eve! “ Anya cried

The girl smirked knowingly. "Around."

Farah stiffened.

“ tell me! Exactly.” She began to snarl

"You're in no position to negotiate with me," she snarled.
