"What are pancakes?" She asked purely out of curiosity. They sounded weird.
"What are pancakes?" She asked purely out of curiosity. They sounded weird.
Micheal blinked. “It’s ah… a breakfast food.”
A breakfast food… "What's-" she cut herself off, realizing she was asking too many questions. "Nevermind."
Micheal blinked at her expectantly. “What’s…?” He trailed off, tilting his head.
She hesitated. "What's… Breakfast?"
Micheal took out a carton of eggs from his refrigerator. “A lot of people eat in the morning. A lot. So they just called it breakfast.” He shrugged. “I’m not entirely sure.”
"Oh. Okay." She followed him. That's an odd word. Breakfast…
Micheal pulled out some measuring cups and powders for the pancakes. He started to make the mix quietly.
She watched as he did, leaning a little closer to see. "What are you doing?"
Micheal turned a faint red. “I’m mixing.”
"Mixing what?" She didn't notice his change of share, so she didn't bother to back up.
“Uuuh…. flour. Sugar. Other stuff.” His embarrassment of her being so close was making him turn redder and redder.
"And what's flour and sugar?" She felt curious. Of course, she was still completely oblivious to how red he was.
“It’s spice. They help make the pancake.” Micheal added in the egg.
"Right." She backed up a little. "What do paper cases taste like?"
Micheal glanced back at her. “Paper cases? What are those?”
(Oof XD I meant pancakes, sorry. Stupid autocorrect)
(Lmao let’s go with paper cases)
She thought for a moment. "What you're making…" Did I say it wrong?
Micheal blinked. “I… I think I heard you wrong.”
"I, umm, what are they called again?" She bit her lip a little, embarrassed she forgot.
“P-pancakes?” Micheal asked softly, tilting his head.
"Oh. Right." She recited the word in her head a few times. "Okay. Well, what do…pancakes taste like?"
“Well… uh… good?” Micheal asked tenitively.
"Okay." She trusted him. If he thought they were good, she probably would too.
