“Okay.” He swallowed nervously. “Thank you.” He wasn’t sure why he was thanking her.
“Okay.” He swallowed nervously. “Thank you.” He wasn’t sure why he was thanking her.
"No problem." She looked to him. He seemed down. But doesn't he always? "You okay there?"
Micheal glanced up slowly and nodded. “‘M okay.”
"I know that's a lie, but okay." She was always good at finding lies. (Sorry, little bit busy. At a robitics competition)
(That’s okay)
Micheal hugged himself. He hadn’t realized that he lied again. “I-I’m sorry.”
"It's okay to lie sometimes. And to not be okay." She sighed. "I really want to help. I want to make you smile. But first, you need to stop saying sorry."
Micheal wasn’t sure how to do that. He’d always been told to stop apologizing, but it was from an angry, scolding voice that made him burst into tears. Thinking about it made his eyes well up.
Her voice was gentle and kind, careful with his broken heart. "You don't have anything to be sorry for. You're a pretty cool guy, okay?"
(Micheal being sad is making me feel sad lmao)
Micheal wiped tears away but it was fruitless. Thinking of their angry voices, any voice that was ever yelling and mean at him made him close to sobs. He was weak.
(XD my mood)
She watched as the tears fell and began to walk up to him. I might regret this but… Her arms wrapped around him gently. "You seemed like you need a hug."
Micheal paused at the hug. She was just wrapping her arms around him, but it felt nice. He never got hugs. Never. It was kind of odd, but nice. He wiped his tears, but his mind wasn’t done with the flashbacks of pain.
She didn't stop hugging him. She didn't want to. He didn't pull away, so she didn't. Is this normal for humans?
Micheal couldn’t bring himself to hug back. He just leaned into her and sobbed quietly, shutting his eyes and shaking.
She gently squeezed a little harder. "Hey, it's okay…" Giving a hug to a human was a lot different from giving in to a star. You could feel part of their heartbreak seeping into yours.
Micheal sobbed quietly again, curling his legs close to his chest. He was going to get hit for crying. He anticipated the blow.
The blue outline seemed to intensify. "You know, you're really nice. Especially for a stranger. I could have faded- died- in the forest without you." I wonder… If we can take wishes, can we take heartbreak?
Micheal swallowed against another sob, barely hearing her. His sob fought through, though, and he rasped out, his tears falling thick and fast.
Red gently pulled away, one hand still on his shoulder. "Hey," she brushed a tear off his face, "I'm here."
Micheal flinched when she rose a hand and shied away from it, opening his eyes to look at her through tears. He gulped down another sob, shaking slightly.
She took her hand down seeing him flinch. "I- sorry, sorry." Why did he flinch? Did I hurt him?
He seemed to realize she wasn’t an angry person, ready to strike at him. He slowly relaxed into her, his eyes still wide with fear and tears still falling down his face.
She noticed he settled a little into her. Her arms wrapped around him and brought him close. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you or anything."
Micheal leaned his head onto her shoulder and he gave another soft sob. He shut his eyes, still shaking in fear.
(Any specific plans or we just goin on this for a little? Cuz I was thinking he could, like, fall asleep or somethin ya know?)
She looked to him a little before gently placing her head on his. Her stomach was tangled up in knots. She assumed it was because she didn't know what she was supposed to do. Just be there for him.
(Sure thing)
Micheal squeezed it in his. Her hugs felt nice. The hand on his did too. He sniffled softly, shutting his eyes slowly. A couple valiant tears dripped off his nose.
