A humans sins, once the evil out-weighs the good, will take form and control its original body. These new creatures, called ‘Embers’ can all do different things depending on what they personify. It’s skin becomes charred over and the human form mutates in order to allow the sin to take over.
Those whose good over-power the evil, remain normal and do not have to live in fear of the Embers.
On the occasion a human soul is deemed ‘Pure Neutral’, the body is granted a spiritual familiar. When properly harnessed, the familiars combined with the neutrality of the soul, can bring down the Embers.
Humans who are deemed ‘Pure Neutral’ before their body is fully matured are given the option to take part in defending against the Embers.
Those who accept, train in schools fine-tuned to educate these souls in how to stop the Embers and install a clear message, then after graduation, join a branched off unit/team and fight the Embers when they are called.
The one thing they must follow, the message they are taught, is to find a solution and stop humans sins from taking over their bodies(and also lowkey figure out how the familiars came into all this.)One day, all of humanity may fall to its sins.

This is what I want the rp to be based around. We can play as a new unit, our characters will be fresh graduates from the school, so they only lack just real battle experience pretty much. There will be a captain and lieutenant of the unit. All members are in charge of any gear they use, and house duties like cooking and cleaning are rotated throughout the unit. All characters can be reasonably OP but should be countered with drawbacks. There is an official uniform for the units, but it doesn’t always need to be worn. An alarm will sound when an Ember appears in the vicinity that a unit is assigned to protect(usually a city per unit), and the unit must take it down.
Andrews rules apply, no funky stuff yes thamk. At least a paragraph response, maybe. No pressure to be super active, just, you know, try and reply when you can. If you have any questions about this, please ask away.

Appearance: Blocky bangs, layered hair; long in the front to around the mid-rib cage, short at the back above the shoulders. Left eye is blue, right eye is warm brown. Beauty mark under her left eye. Rather slim appearing figure, nearly pencil like at first glance. Pale complexion. Narrow face shape.
Clothing: Aside from the uniforms from the unit and school, she has this one jacket that she likes a lot. It has a high-collar, and extra fabric flaps, pockets, chains. Kinda e-girly. Lots of sweats, and a few tank tops and swimsuits mixed in.

Reason for joining the school: Her parents deeply engraved the idea into her, that she needed to be and get stronger to protect everyone. She looked up to her parents quite a lot, and a few of her friends got killed by an Ember. So she took it upon herself, and put everything else on hold to ‘get stronger’. Eventually was presented with a familiar and the opportunity to join a unit. She wanted to get stronger for others, but was also harming herself, so she was deemed ‘Pure Neutral’.
Personality: She tries her best and makes herself look like a great, star role-model. Always re-assess a situation, no matter how small, ridiculed herself over all the things she could have done better. Often overworks herself, but doesn’t let it show. A rather kind person and will always put someone else before her. She knows that because she pushes herself, she’ll eventually have an
out-burst and could be overpowered by her emotions, but this only leads to her working harder to try and get it out.
Familiar and associated abilities: Her familiar is a twin-sided Koi fish. Each side is the colour of one of her eyes. To summon her familiar, she has to use two fans and complete a set of movements to trigger their contract. When her familiar is summoned into its physical body, the Koi is able to attack an opponent using the strength in Kiyomi’s body, and she can gain healing abilities. If the Koi is summoned into Kiyomi’s body, she can then turn the fans into a sword and a lance and uses the strength stored in the Koi to fight an opponent.
Drawbacks: When using her familiar in its physical body, Kiyomi has to mainly let the Koi do the work because it uses up her stamina, and is rendered to merely defending herself or guiding any citizens around. When summoning the Koi into herself, a flame patterned
tattoo-like marking appears on patches of her skin, and whatever affect the Ember she is fighting is concentrated into these areas. She essentially harnesses the pain from the Ember and any who were harmed by it throughout the duration of the summoning.
Other: Likes strawberry shortcake and calico cats. Used to play the harmonica.
