Ignis still unmoved, "Sir, What are you? No mortal can enter this place without having some magic inside."

Not really caring about whether he was magic or not, Alister smiled, gladly focusing on the boy rather than Kali’s whole deal.
“Aww, I’d gladly let you stay, but I’m only a guest myself. Anyway, Ignis, did you need us down here for something?”

He did the ASL sign for dead. He didn't have enough energy for using his energy towards his ability and was kinda saving it up. However if niether of them knew ASL he supposed he would talk to them. He turned and saw a girl that looked similar to him, staring at him with he assumed naturally black hair. He signed thank you to the boy and also signed you look nice as well.

She knew some so she partially understood what he was saying, he looked familiar, almost similar to her dad. She didn't have any siblings tho so that was out of the question. "He is deaf ignis."

Ignis looked to Kali, "I said first thing tomorrow, but if you are feeling up to it, I guess we can go now."

“Ah,” Alister wasn’t entirely sure how to act. He’d never known a deaf person, and he didn’t know ASL. A little nervously, he turned to Kali and asked, “What did he say?”
Noel stood nearby, taking notice of the similarities between Kali and the boy. It was almost like… they were relatives or something.

Evan put a hand to her like Kali sometimes did, he chuckled a little bit. "oh, I think your pretty." He smiled at Alister. "I'm partial dead but I use sound to make myself undeaf sometimes it's a bit straining so I don't always do it. Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you all knew ASL."

Hhmmm familar, why is he so familar? Familar likes something I used to know. She stared at him observing him before turning to ignis. "Well I figured you would at least want to tell them tonight before we left but I guess tonight's good."

Ignis felt stupid for not knowing the boy was deaf. Although he couldn't have known, he still felt stupid, "Well then, he is welcome to join. Of course I'll need to find a more suitable car."

"what's wrong with the one we have now?" Kali asked him walking over to him and punching his shoulder. "you couldn't have known idiot." She knew exactly what he was thinking because she would have felt the same way in Ignis's position.

He smiled at ignis, 'Thanks for letting me join."

“Ohh, that’s cool!” Alister said, before he realized. “Wait, you what now?”
“He thinks you’re pretty,” Noel said matter-of-factly. “How exactly do you make yourself hear? I’m curious.”

"well I don't know exactly? Its weird, like if I don't focus and turn it on then everything sounds like it's muted and underwater but if I focus on keeping it on then I can hear things and people. It gets a bit tiring after a couple of hours." He chuckled a little bit. He noticed how the girl interacted with the other guy, she probably likes him

“Fascinating.” Noel’s eyes fixed on the boy. Is he an elemental too?
“Oh, by the way, my name’s Alister. That’s my sister, Noel. That’s Kali, and that’s Ignis.” He pointed to each person as he spoke. “What’s yours?”

At first he signed his name and then got a little bit flustered when realized he didn't have to sign it. "It's Evan, Evan Arden." He gave a small wave and embarrassed chuckle.

Kali whipped her head towards him. "Arden?"

"Hmmm…I doubt you have magic. Spells are quite tricky to master. Perhaps an elemental? None that I have heard of…" Ignis walks away from the stairs as he picks up a bag, "And Kali? My car can only hold five. There are currently six of us."

"oh well then just like give us a limo or something," she poked Ignis's cheek. (I should have refreshed- first ouch)

Ignis turned slightly, "Arden?"

Evan looked confused. "why are you guys repeating my last name so much???"

She looked at him and than at ignis, not knowing what to say.

“Nice to meet you, Evan.” Alister smiled again. He gave a little wave and shifted his weight. “Um, why is his last name so important?”
“Do you guys have the same last name?” Noel asked, facing Kali.

Ignis didn't reply to Evan's question, he didn't know how. He only looked at Kali and squinted. "Well…I should be off to make proper modifications to our ride. Perhaps we may need more than a car to get where we need to go."

"um yeah. My last name is Arden." She bit her lip staring at evan. "which dosent make much sense tho, if my mom and dad had another kid wouldn't they also be darkness? How old are you?" She asked evan.

"I'm 17? Why? Also my parents gave my up for foster care when I was young so I know my real parents, just the last name of my dad and what he vaguely looks like." Evan was a bit upset at this claim.

"hey ignis do you mind if I come with you to work on those modifications? I think I could suggest some valuable inputs." She just wanted to leave the awkwardness and what this brought up. Which would only make her mad.

Ignis didn't even move. He just stood there and listened. He can control the vibrations of the incoming vocalizations? Such magic doesn't even exist, or it seems complicated at the least. He doesn't seem to perform any other spell…

"You're a sound elemental. You must be."

"uuum I guess? What's an elementals??' evan tilted his head in confusion. His brain hurt, with all the incoming information he didn't know about or what to do with.

Ignis looked at Kali then back at Evan, "Excuse us." He walks out the building towards the back as he motioned Kali to follow.

“Ooh I thought so!” Noel exclaimed. “That’s really cool! I didn’t know a sound elemental could exist though, haha.”
Alister took up to explaining, trying to put the whole last name thing in the back of his mind. “So, have you seen Avatar: the Last Airbender? It’s kinda like being a bender, but you can be more than just fire, water, air, and earth, I guess.”
Noel watched Kali and Ignis leave. Oh, right… what was all this leaving and getting the car ready about?
