“Nothing, he says,” Noel raised her brow.
Alister stared ahead at them for a moment before calling out to them again. “Um, then do you perhaps have something that we might want?”
His own brow furrowed. What was the man muttering about to his friend? Something about seals? Strange people indeed, and possibly dangerous, though perhaps not in the conventional sense.
“The dragon and the giant dog look cool though,” Noel added helpfully. Alister turned to stare at her. She shrugged.
"Kids dont trust, hes trying to lure you away to kidnap you. dont be fooled by his schemes." she said crawling up to the top of the dog peering over its head making her look like a little kid. She turned to look at alister. "Ignis one of them might be an elemental," she said quiet enough that they could vaguely hear her.
“Then why are you with him? I mean, if you’re trying to help us from being kidnapped, as you say. By your logic, we shouldn’t trust you either. So really, it’s a choice between trusting you, or him.” Noel snapped. Alister tried shushing her, but he was a little distracted by the giant creatures before them and what the girl muttered after that.
Elemental? He could vaguely feel a sharp breeze rush between him and his sister.
"Oh just shut up you little brat, why are you even this close to us? I could easily reach you in a matter of seconds so by that logic why are you even coming close to us if you don't trust either of us?" she stared down noel with a huff. "Im older then you kid, and he's even older so if anything don't trust either of us." she huffed again.
They both flinched at the word ‘brat’, tears forming in Noel’s eyes and Alister swiveled around, turning to the girl.
“Hey! Don’t call my sister a brat! She was just pointing out the flaws in your logic, that’s all! Besides, we weren’t planning on trusting you anyway.” Alister’s eyes were hard like steel, his dark eyebrows arched menacingly.
“Also,” Noel’s voice cracked a little. “We’re like, ten feet away from you.”
(may i join?)
(I'm not running this. If you do end up allowed to join, though, that would be fun!)
SHe noticed the way that they both flinched upon her calling them a brat, the little girl immediately started crying and the boy stood up for his sister. she sunk back into the fluff of the hell hound, wondering if maybe something similar had happened to them. It could be that they were just sensitive and no one likes being called a brat. there seemed to be more then just sensitiveness behind the word brat. You little brat. ….if she was correct she was literally a horrible person, especially after knowing first hand what its like. she ran a hand through her hair stopping halfway, eyesglazed over deep in thought.
"See what you did?" Ignis approached slowly, remaining a good distance away when he stopped. He looked at the two and kneeled down at the girl. He lifted his hands as a flame in the form of a horse began to dance. The horse jumped down and began to run around the girl. He turned to the older one, "Calm yourselves. She will not be harmed by it anymore than I will harm you. We have no reason to. In any important case, what draws you here?"
Noel gasped, her tears drying as the flaming horse danced around her. Alister watched it for a moment before he turned to the man. His eyes softened a little.
“The dragon… the dragon, mostly.”
So is this what they meant by elemental? The fire seemed to leap from his hands… Alister felt the air tingle between his fingers. Perhaps it wasn’t just the dragon that drew them here.
Kali didnt mean too, she didnt mean too..she didnt know she hadn't known…which was noexcuse, ignorance doesn't qualify as a good excuse. No excuse is good enough, she was literally awful. she didn't know for sure but the "see what you did?" just made her even more sure, that what she thought was true. This feels so cliche but imma say it- why did everything ignis always saysomehow be connected to her nightmares? she had heard the exact same line See what you did? in her worst nightmares calling for her to look at what she did that was horrible. she had hurt them…she started to tremble a little bit clenching her right arm with left hand.
Kros the hellhound tried to comfort her, turning and with its other heads licking her, he warm licking somewhat comforted her this time, stopping her trembling but she was stuck in her thoughts.
Ignis immediately went to Kali, seeing her trembling, "Hey I'm sorry. I know it wasn't intentional but sometimes being nice to a kid isn't the worse thing in the world." Shows an illusion of Arcanis for a second before it vanished, "Trust me."
"Im fine its whatever, just go comfort the kids." her eyes were shadowed over, still clinching her right arm. Her eyes went wide for a moment seeing arcanis, then he disappeared and her eyes went back to being semi normal. What the hell? he's dead right? right? she looked away from Ignis not wanting to face him like this.
(So, I have a bit. How can I insert Mason?)
Ignis gave her a hug, even though he felt like he shouldn't, "Some battles aren't always won alone…" He released her and continued with the kids, "Perhap…" He stopped, seeing his two husky pups joyfully playing around them with Amara watching.
(honestly however you want my dude-)
(This is a rp of unexpectations. Join however you like!)
Kali was shocked by the hug, she hugged him tightly, not wanting him to let go. not wanting to just sit and be in her thoughts, but she felt him let go so she did too hesitantly. "i don't want to fight alone….." she whispered barely audible to ignis. she leaned into her hellhound when ignis let go.
(Okay!)
Mason was walking around outside, enjoying nature. He had his phone in his pocket and earbuds in, along with a drawstring bag containing his art supplies, seeing as he was walking around and trying to find some scenery to draw, to use as a scene for his characters, and to just be outside and enjoying nature while drawing. Along the way, he spotted some flowers and picked some, making a flower crown for the heck of it. He placed it on his head for fun, enjoying it, not caring if people would judge him. He eventually found somewhere and officially stopped, sitting down and grabbing his sketchbook from his bag and drawing. After a few sketches, he continued to walk, taking his stuff with him, and finding some people nearby.
He turned to the kids, "Would you two care for lunch? Amara and I are quite good cooks. If you don't trust me, trust Amara, she'd never hurt a soul."
He turned to Kali, "What bout you? Fancy a meal?"
Alister watched their interaction with slight discomfort. These people obviously had a history. The girl was a little rude, but he could tell she was genuinely sorry.
Noel tapped his arm. “Ali, look.”
She flicked her fingers at the flaming horse, the air curling around them and pushing the horse backward. As it reared up and galloped back again, Noel took a deep breath and blew the horse away, all the way back to the man who created it.
Alister gave a small giggle. “Aww, he liked you.”
“Well, he likes him more.” Noel crossed her arms over her chest.
(Aaa didn’t refresh the page. Give me a minute)
Alister blinked. “Really? You’d do that?” Now he wasn’t sure whether to be more suspicious or immediately go with them. Then again, the thought that this man was probably someone like them poked at him from the back of his mind. He turned to Noel, who mumbled, “Well, we haven’t had breakfast yet, have we?”
“No, we haven’t.” He rubbed his chin in thought. “What do you think?”
She paused for a moment. “Let’s go. I don’t feel like going back to the restaurant.”
Alister exhaled, and turned to the man resolved. “Lunch sounds wonderful, we’d appreciate it.”
Kali had finally calmed down somewhat, letting go of her right arm and breathing in and out before looking at ignis. "I could definitely go for some of amara's cooking right now." she took a glance at he kids from the top of hell hound. she glanced at the girl, "Want a ride?"
