Jen continued drawing, oblivious to the teacher’s lecture and pretty much everyone around her. She filled in the details of a monarch butterfly, smiling to herself at the symmetry she’d finally gotten right.

Trin grabbed her backpack and ran down the hall and burst into the history classroom. "Sorry I'm late." She told the teacher.

Luca watched as another girl ran into the class late. Someone's gonna get in trouble…
