"Luca." He didn't meet genuinely nice people a lot, so he took advantage of moments like this.

Kelly jogged over to Trin and gave her a high five. "Nice job, Starclaws."
"Thanks, Ironmelt." Trin felt herself say. "Want me to show you some moves later?"
"Luca." He didn't meet genuinely nice people a lot, so he took advantage of moments like this.
“Nice to meet you,” Jen said kindly. “I know nobody in this class, so is it alright if I sit next to you?”
"Sure go ahead." Luca tried to sound casual, ignoring the blush he felt appearing on his cheeks.
“Thanks,” Jen said, also ignoring the sudden flush of pink on Luca’s face. She set her bag down on the two-person table and sat on one of the two chairs.
Luca took out his water bottle, casually making it move around in the bottle. He never showed anyone his abilities out in the open, not wanting to cause any more drama than he needed to.
“You can do that, too?” Jen whispered.
"Yeah I can! You can too?" Luca exclaimed, obviously excited.
“Yes!” Jen made the water in Luca’s bottle turn into a butterfly and then splash down back to the bottom of the bottle.
He chuckled slightly, trying to contain his excitement. "This is so cool! I've never met anyone else with any ability like this."
“Me neither!” Jen smiled. “Oh my gosh, I haven’t felt this happy since… I don’t think I’ve ever felt this happy, to be honest. Not to sound dramatic. How long have you known about yours?”
"Not too long. Lets see it's been about…." Luca thought back. "Four months at the most. What about you?"
“About a year,” Jen answered honestly. “I practiced so much at the beginning that I can do quite a few shapes now.”
"I can't do much." Luca shrugged. "I can just create spheres and make jets like a hose."
“That’s pretty cool,” Jen smiled. “You just saw my best party trick.”
"The butterfly? Yeah, that was pretty awesome."
“Thanks,” Jen said. “Hate to be that person, but you’ll get there,” she laughed.
Luca chuckled. "Thanks." He watched as the teacher walked to the front of the classroom.
“Aww. Actual school now.” Jen faced the front and folded her hands dramatically.
The teacher began droning on about history. Luca could barely pay attention, so instead he started doodling on his paper.
Trin stood up and brushed herself off. "I'm going to grab my stuff." She told Kelly, and jogged off.

Jen stared at the black pice of paper in front of her and decided to begin doodling on it, so she did, mirroring Luca’s action.
Trin glanced down at her watch. Shoot! I'm late for history! She thought, making a face.
Luca peered over at Jen's doodles. He smiled, redrawing her doodles on his paper and adding shading and extra details to them.
