Yuki's eyes trail upwards in thought. Does she speak in riddles all the time? I suppose some people enjoy poetic speech. It can provoke thought in not only the speaker but also the listener, and it's an effective way to keep the creative mind trained.
Though, at such a young age like himself, Yuki soon came to realize such phrases could often be taken more literally than he might think.
Letting go of your inner demons, but they're the ones holding you up…
"So your ability is demonic energy?"
Scipio jumped and transformed into a cat, or rather kitten, startled. He pressed himself into the corner of his bunk, looking up at Cicada nervously. He seemed to be trying to say something, but it just came out as meowing.
(By the way, his power is shapeshifting and he favors a solid black cat form)
(Okay.)
Cicada held back a laugh as she calmly walked over to the cat, "I can not understand a thing your saying."
He changed back, his hair looking rather bedraggled now. "Er, s-sorry. You startled me." Scipio attempted to flatten down his hair.
Cicada leaned back as a small laugh escaped, "I can tell."

"So your ability is demonic energy?"
"Well, yes…well yeah, in a way I guess, thats part of it….I guess. Its the power to create illusions and bring them to life and also making your worse fears into reality……so yeah in a way yes…" Zoe stumbled over her words a bit.
Pink rose to Scipio's pallid cheeks as he picked up his sketchbook again, twirling a deep red colored pencil between his thin fingers. "Um… do you need something or did you just want to say hello?"
"Just say hello," Cicada smiled as a fire lit atop her fingers. Her eyes instantly wandered towards it, "I mean we're living together for the year soooooo."
"Interesting," Yuki began, absorbing as much information as he can. "Do you have to know the person's biggest fear before you bring them to life? Or does it just happen?" He knew he'd have to write this all down soon, but he didn't want to be walking and writing, knowing it'd develop into unreadable handwriting that he'd be unable to clean up later on. Instead, he relied on his memory to get this all down so he could take notes later.
Scipio glanced at the fire, holding his breath but not mentioning it. "True… I don't know if I ever caught your name? Mi chiamo Scipio Massimo."
(Scipio was born in Italy and occasionally speaks a bit of Italian)
"Oh yeah," Cicada eyes snapped to him, "Name's Cicada. Nice to meet you Scipio. Word to the wise, diagnosed Pyromaniac and Klepto right here."
(Cicada knows the Spanish. She like never uses it though.)
"Uh… can… can you try not to set fire to anything anywhere near me? Pyrophobia and stuff…" Scipio didn't meet her eyes, staring intensely down at the drawing. He was one of the youngest people in the school because his parents had seen right through his lies about his powers early on. And, you know, they saw him transform.
(Scipio usually only speaks Italian if he's nervous, but sometimes if he gets lost in the moment or passionate about something he starts speaking rapid Italian lol)
A pain came sneaking in to the back of Angel's neck. She let go of Zoe's hand and looked back at the direction of the forest. Seriously? Why did that place seem so scary to her, seem so familiar? "Sorry, I think I'll hang out here for a bit." She went and sat in the shade of a tree the stood next to the front door, staring in the forest.
Yuki almost didn't even hear Angel, but still felt the need to communicate his salutations to her. "Okay, I'll see you later, Angel." He waved, walking into the building, thinking about the next person he'll 'interview'.
(Okay, seeya!)
“Cool, that’s really cool.”
(Back)
"I guess, what's yours?"
”Umbrakinesis, or darkness manipulation…” He said

Cicada put her fire out, "Oh, um, I'll try not to. It sort of just happens, same thing with the stealing. I stole like 50 gel pens today and I don't remember stealing one."
"…Then how do you know you stole them?" Scipio added details to the ecosystem on the tortoise's back, including minuscule birds flying above the treetops.
"Because when I got here I had zero gel pens, and now I have fifty," Cicada explained, "I keep track of what I own and what I don't."
"Fair enough." Scipio stared at the drawing, tossing his pencil in his hand as he wondered what he should add. "So… how did you end up here? When?"
Cicada sat back on her bunk, "What do you mean by that? Because time wise I got here a few hours ago."
"Hmm… I mean who found out? Who sent you to this place?"
"Oh…" Cicada looked at her hands, "Technically the police in my old town, but on the records it says my foster parents."
