@EtherealDreamer
Ezra smiled.
"That's debatable I guess," He said, chuckling. "I picked mine because they were the cheapest in the area."
Ezra smiled.
"That's debatable I guess," He said, chuckling. "I picked mine because they were the cheapest in the area."
"Do you have money problems?" Silver was a direct person, not realizing she could be asking something to personal
Ezra shrugged.
"I mean it's just me, so I wanted some place cheap because I work in retail while attending community college and I needed to get a cheap place in order to have money for other things."
"That's fair," Her voice trailed as she zoned out
Ezra kept walking, not noticing that Silver had fallen behind, he turned a corner and that's when he realised Silver was no longer with him. He retraced his steps, walking back to her.
"You," he said and then paused. "You okay?"
She glanced, "Oh! Sorry!" She jogged up to him, "Sorry I zoned out," Silver laughed and started walking again
"It's okay," Ezra said honestly. "I just don't want to leave you alone, expecially when it's getting dark."
"It's okay, I talk walks at night all the time, it's a lot of fun." She pulled the ribbon from her and her white hair blew in the wind, "The day time is to hot."
Ezra smiled.
"But it's cold?" He said quizzically and then shook his head. "You must be what my mother used to call 'cold blooded.' It mean't someone who enjoyed the cold instead of heat."
"That's what my mom said, you'll never catch me wearing anything else but shorts and cropped hoodies, it's to hot."
Ezra nodded as he smiled.
"Well," he said, "everyone is different."
"How old are you, by the way?"
Ezra smiled.
"I'm 22," he informed her. "What about you?"
"Oh I just turned 21 a month ago, gosh I havn't even had a drink yet," She laughed
Ezra chuckled lightly.
"Me either." He admitted. "I've just never been tempted to I guess."
"That's good, drinking is scary anyway." Silver rubbed her arm.
It's been a while since I was able to talk to someone, it almost feels fake, he probably doesn't really like me anyway.. Her thoughts raced
Ezra smiled and laughed.
"Yeah, getting wasted has never really appeared to me." He told her truthfully. "I'm not shaming people who do though."
"Well I'm about home anyway..!" She walked ahead, "Thanks for walking with me all this way, it was probably a bother," she laughed nervously
Ezra flapped a hand at her.
"Don't worry about it," he told her, smiling. "It was no problem at all, fun really."
He watched her for a moment.
"Is it cool if I wait here until you get inside?" He asked. "I just want to make sure you get in."
"Oh s-sure.." Silver ran up the stairs to her apartment and got to the door. She spun around and waved at Ezra.
Ezra waved back and made sure she made it fully inside, door closed behind her, before shoving his hands deep into the pocket of his faux fleece lined light jean jacket and making his way past her apartments, on his way to his own small place he resided in and called home.
Silver collapsed onto her bed, "It felt good to talk to someone.." She sighed, "It almost feels fake, he probably doesn't really care.."
Ezra went home and stripped out of his clothes and hopped into a hot shower. He only got out when the water started to become less hot.
He slipped into fluffy pajama bottoms and a long sleeve sweatshirt and crawled into bed, pulling his various blankets and singular comforter over himself.
(time skip to the next meeting?)
(yeah sure)
Silver rolled out of bed to get ready for the next meeting. She brushed and braided her rats nest, tying her hair with a black ribbon. She slipped on black boots, denim shorts, and a black hoodie. She quickly grabbed her phone and headed out
Ezra was already heading down to the meeting, his hands shoved deep in his pockets, his face turned down against the cold and his shoulders slightly slouched forward.
He made his way to the basement and sat in one of the metal fold out chairs, he looked around.
Ms. G wasn't there yet, which made him worried, as she usually emailed or texted when they had no meeting, but no email or text of the sort had arrived.
Silver came through the door a few minutes later, she sat down in a chair and looked at the few people in the room. Did this place always look so dark?
Ezra waved merrily at her when she walked in.
She gestured to the open seat to his left, though the one to his right was free too.
"Hey." He said, excitedly. He didn't normally speak to anyone but Ms. G at the meetings, but talking to Silver was nice.
She smiled and sat down, "Hello, how are you doing?"
Ezra smiled.
"I'm doing good, what about you?" He said honestly. He had had a good enough week since he last saw her and he did genuinely care about her feelings and what had happened to her since they saw each other last.
