As she tested it more, the flames on the sword got brighter and hotter.
"Okaaaay… I don't think this is good," she mused. Suddenly, the fire shot down toward her hand, and she yelped and jumped back, dropping it. "Okay, that's definitely not good."
Kasey ran into the testing area with a fire extinguisher. She put out the fire, "Sorry about that, but at least I got good data?"
Ian sighs and digs the needle into his shin, shrieking slightly and biting his wrist
(Err… Minor powers are fine. Very, very minor. Like, telepathy, telekinesis, and anything else to do w/the mind 'cause it could be an implant.)
Amethyst laughed once.
"Yeah, well, I'm just glad my hand didn't get burned off," she said, staring down at the sword. "That… That was certainly something."
When she was right outside the med tent, Akyra heard Ian's yelp and shook her head.
Idiot, he should have asked another medic for help, the stitches are going to be uneven.
She ducked past the flap and walked over to him, not saying a work, and took the needle.
Valerie spun on her heel, concern clear on her face.
(Err… Minor powers are fine. Very, very minor. Like, telepathy, telekinesis, and anything else to do w/the mind 'cause it could be an implant.)
(yay! that's exactly what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure it was ok with you)
"Uh. Hey!" Ian snatches at The needle, "Give it back and leave me alone."
Akyra glared at him, flicked his forehead, and took the needle back. She began to stitch up his leg, then looked up at him emotionlessly.
Oh dear…
"I'm going to have to pull up the bottom of your shirt to stitch you up there, 'kay?" she asked curtly.
"What. HUH?!" He reels backwards
"Unless you want it to get it infected, yeah."
Ian backs up further, "Uh… How about I just do it." He snaps, swiping at the needle.
(PS He's ripped thats why he's acting like this… WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!)
Sirens suddenly started blaring, and Amethyst looked up at the sky.
"For real? Right now?" she muttered, looking back down and nudging Kasey. "Come on, we've gotta get back inside. We're under attack."
Amethyst laughed once.
"Yeah, well, I'm just glad my hand didn't get burned off," she said, staring down at the sword. "That… That was certainly something."
Kasey looked at the sword waiting for it to cool down. She spoke aloud, but was more or less talking to herself, "I'm going to need a higher resistor in order to prevent that from happening, but I can't have it to high or it won't work. Maybe using around 20,000 ohms would work?"
Ian backs up further, "Uh… How about I just do it." He snaps, swiping at the needle.
(PS He's ripped thats why he's acting like this… WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!)
Akyra rolled her eyes and held the needle behind her.
"You know as well as I do that that is a bad idea. You can't see your torso properly, and you'll make uneven stitches."
Ian backs up further, "Uh… How about I just do it." He snaps, swiping at the needle.
(PS He's ripped thats why he's acting like this… WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!)
//ripped like super strong or was that a typo
//is there something wrong with that…?
I don’t get it
(Everybody's just going to…ignore the blaring sirens…?)
Amethyst took out her communicator (the little box) and spoke into it.
"Everybody needs to get inside. Right now! We're under attack. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill!" she shouted as she tugged on Kasey's arm to get her to go back inside.
"So?! I can take care of myself thanks." Ian snarls

Ian looks up at the sound of the sirens, "Get down! Turn the lights off!"
Valerie grabbed her gun from where she’d left it on the table and dashed out of the tent, barely glancing behind her.
Kasey looked at Amethyst. She allowed herself to be dragged inside, "But the sword?"
Amethyst closed the device and put it away, still dragging Kasey by the arm.
"Leave it!" she exclaimed as they crossed the threshold of the door.
"Stay there! I'll get them!" Akyra darted over to the temporary power box and switched off the tent lights. Then, she ran back over to Ian and they crouched down between the bunks.
Oh no, oh no, oh no. We're under attack. Ian is still wounded. I haven't taken my medicine. He's going to know…
