The crowd shouted various options, but "sword fighting" was definitely the most popular opinion. Amethyst smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. Sparring wasn't her best skill, but she could hold her own when it mattered most. She hoped that would be good enough. Losing a challenge – to a medic, no less! – would be disastrous. The rebels wanted a leader who could win battles, not lose them.
( Sorry! )
Ian chokes slightly as he hears the up roar, " Sword fighting…" He laughs and shakes his head, "Wow…"
(It's fine!)
"I swear, if Ian doesn't get over here soon…" Amethyst muttered darkly under her breath, glaring in the direction of the medics' tent.
"Yeah? What are you gonna do?" He snorts, tapping another syringe
"Ames, you really need to chill," Akyra said, empathizing with Ian. "No one wants to be here, and no one is really challenging your leadership. Tensions are just high after the last mission."
Amethyst muttered under her breath and stalked away toward the medic tent. When she reached it, she walked over to Ian, picked him up by the collar of his shirt, and glared at him so fiercely that she surprised even herself.
"I am really ticked off right now, and you are not making anything better for yourself. The sooner you get your butt over to that field, the more chance you have that I will not "accidentally" run you through. Got it?" she growled, feeling ready to explode from anger.
Ian on instinced kicked out in a side kick, hitting her in the gut
(Lol.)
"Oof," Amethyst huffed in surprise, dropping Ian. She rubbed her side for a moment, then glared at him again. "We have other medics. You aren't the only one here. So unless you want to find yourself skewered on the tip of my sword, get out there. Now."
"I'd like to see you make me." He was starting to get really pissed by now. He looks down and starts setting up a tray full of surgical equipment.
"Dammit, this isn't good," Akyra said, cringing at the scene she heard unfolding inside the medic tent. "And of course I'm the one who has to stop it." At this, she smirked. This is gonna be fun.
She stopped one of the other medics that was walking out of the tent.
"Can you clear our the other medics and the patients?" she whispered. "Things are getting heated."
This was a basic medic tent, so all the patients were there for checkup, immunizations, or very minor wounds, so clearing out shouldn't be hard. The medic nodded and began clearing people out. Luckily, there were few people and Ian and Amethyst were distracted.
Time for my part now, Akyra thought, grinning wickedly to herself.
She walked around the tent, pulling up all the tent posts, leaving only the ones on the corners. At her signal, she and three others pulled out the last four pegs.
Maybe this doesn't really solve the problem, but it's gonna be hella funny.
Ian watches over his shoulder as the patients where cleared away slowly. He yelps slightly as the canvas falls on top of him
"Have fun getting out, you two!" Akyra laughed, the medics and patients around her joining in.
If anything, these people have really needed a good laugh.
Ian snarls, clawing at the canvas as he tries to find the exit. He starts to army crawl in the direction he new was the entrance
Yuri seized Ian’s collar the moment he crawled out from under the collapsed tent, not saying anything as he dragged the smaller man to the field.
(Sorry for the long hiatus)
Ian yelped, grabbing Yuri's wrist and tries to pry it off
(Ian isnt scared he is just pissed af)
"Ames, come on, we're waiting," Akyra chirped, smirking at Ian as Yuri dragged him past. "Bravo, you made it."
(XD. Akyra is having way too much fun)
Amethyst crawled out not much later than Ian, but she came out at the opposite end of the tent. She fumed as she made her way back to the field. When she reached it, she looked eerily calm. Her eyes flashed beneath her facade, though; the only way anyone could tell she was furious.
Ian snarls, "I have so many other things to do." He snaps
"Ames, glad you could finally make it," Akyra said, again walking up behind her cousin.
Amethyst turned to face Akyra.
"Why in the world did you think that was a good idea?" she questioned her, her voice as eerily calm as the look on her face.
Ian was thrust onto the other side of the field. Weaponless growling almost ferally
Akyra became solemn and looked Amethyst in the eyes. "Because everyone here is tired, nervous, and grouchy, especially you. Everyone needed something to laugh about, so I gave them something. Not only that, but you're punishing Ian for something you, too, are guilty of. You say you're our leader, but you're letting your temper control you and are not setting the example everyone needs."
