(wait, the Yuri and Natsuki fight?)
(wait, the Yuri and Natsuki fight?)
Katio drew back from the hug. "Sorry! I should of asked if I could hug you!" Katio said sheepishly.
(Yeah we need to add the Natsuki and Yuri fight. That's after they share their first poem, right?)
"No, it's…fine. I just didn't expect it, that's all!" Natsuki crosses her arms, as if to prove a point.
(I think so. When are they doing the poem sharing?)
(The next day, I believe)
Monika was clenching her fists and her breathing had become short and fast but she knew that if you didn't keep her cool she'd be at the bottom of the pile and she couldn't have that, she couldn't be alone anymore, not like before. She knew, however, that some of the other girls wouldn't be able to keep as calm as her, so she decided to have a little fun with the situation. " Aw how cute!" she cooed. " You two are getting along so well, I can see you becoming very close friends, maybe the closest here!" Monika knew she might cross the line with her next comment but she honestly didn't care, if it got her what she wanted, then it didn't matter how cruel it was. "And maybe you might become something more!" she winked and discreetly turned to see the others girls' reactions. "If only I had brought popcorn" she muttered happily.
"Monika! I'm not-We're just friends!" Natsuki scowls, obviously her comment had struck a nerve.
A blush spread across Katio's face. "W-Well I don't know about that!" Katio said, chuckling nervously. "I-I mean would could I-I'm just not sure is Natsuki likes girls." She said, dying inside.
"Katio, you're not helping." Natsuki frowned, hoping she could fool everyone else that she didn't like Katio, when in fact she did.
"Sorry!" Katio apologized. I was just trying not to offend her.
"It's…fine. Just-don't be so nervous. You're less convincing then." Natsuki said with her crossed arms. It was as close to advice as she would give, not without her freaking out.
Katio laughed. "Sorry! Just trying not to offend!" She said, bumping Natsuki with her elbow.
Natsuki's cheeks go red for a split-second before she responds. "I said it's fine. You add a bit of…excitement to the usual same-old-same-old. Consider that a compliment."
Katio chuckled as a smile lit up her face. "I do. Now who's ready to get this club started?" She said clapping her hands together.
Natsuki glared at Katio for only a second before deciding not to give her a full-blown scowl, turning to Monika, waiting for her to speak, to dominate the conversation, something she did so often it was normal.
And Monika did just that, "Well it's getting kinda late now so I think we need to plan our meetings to come, the focus will be poetry for the next few weeks so next week I'd like you to bring in a poem written by you! I think it would be a great chance to get to know each others writing styles! I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty tired so I'm going to head home, It's been great meeting you Katio" putting a hand on her arm as she moved towards the exit. "oh natsuki!" said monika innocently, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!". She then left the room with plans to watch the awkward goodbyes that would be shared between the girls by logging into the system. She didn't like to call it hacking, it sounded too sinister. Monika also wondered if the other girls had figured the system out yet. She doubted it, they weren't the smartest cookies.
Katio raised an eyebrow at the way Monika treated Natsuki. Was that a threat? She was very confused with this situation. Sayori and Yuri barely talked, which was weird because Sayori was usually very talkative.
(I think Yuri and Sayori pretty much became NPCs…)
"Um, Katio? I'm sorry about…earlier. Monika…she gets her way most of the time, and I guess it's easy to go with the flow. I'll see you tomorrow, right?" Natsuki played with her fingers.
(I've just been spectating bc idk what to do)
Katio shook off the feeling. "Yeah! I'll see you tomorrow Natsuki!" Katio said as she gathered her stuff and walked out the door. Somethings wrong. I can feel it. But what?
Natsuki left, packing a few mangas in her backpack before exiting and walking home. She walked inside and went straight to her bedroom. Once she knew no one could see her, she spectated different areas, flipping through them like switching channels, until she found Monika. She didn't know if she should announce her presence or not, or even if she should stay, but she stayed, watching the classroom behind Monika.
Monika was surprised to find that Natsuki had figured out how to spectate and wondered what else she knew how to do. She wondered if she’d figured out how to access the game files. Maybe?
(We could start the next day/meeting if you guys wanted to?)
(Yeah, probably)
(Are you guys going to use your own poems or ones you've found to share at the meeting?)
