"Oh, uh…not much, really. We read, write a little, and then talk some here and there. It's very laid back. I think someone like you'd love it here." Natsuki smiled, and she didn't know why. Usually, she'd be more of a pushover, even towards Katio, but she acted differently today.
"So basically everything I like? That sounds great!" Katio said smiling. "Is anybody else coming or is the club this small?" She asked as she looked at everyone.
Hearing this, Monika put down her empty notebook, stood up and walked to the front of the classroom. “At the literature club we do everything, well, literature! We share book recommendation and write poems as stories. Right now we are focusing more on poems as it’s a great way to express yourself and it’s something we can share to the group! I hope that’s okay with you guys?”
"Yes, it is this small. I'm sorry if you were expecting a bit…more than this." Natsuki smiled a little nervously once Monika spoke.
"Oh! Well then no wonder Sayori wanted me to come. If your the only members than you must be barely considered a club." Katio said looking around. "Don't you need at least four members to start a club?"
"Yeah. We have Monika, the president, Sayori, Yuri, and I. That makes four, plus you if you'd like to join, of course." Natsuki got out a piece of paper and began to write a short, simple poem.
"Yeah! I'd love to join! Everybody here seems so nice." Katio said.
"Um, yeah! Of course!" Natsuki chipped, seeming to be a bit happier than her usual self.
"Oh! Well then no wonder Sayori wanted me to come. If your the only members than you must be barely considered a club." Katio said looking around. "Don't you need at least four members to start a club?"
Slightly annoyed by being ignored, Monika took offence to Katio's comment, as harmless and well-meant as it was. "I'll have you know we are very much considered a club! erm I mean, yes we are a small group and I'm so glad you are willing to join, I hope you enjoy your first meeting! Do you guys wanna meet in the middle of the classroom and talk about poems?"
"Uhh…Sure! Sounds fun." Katio said with a shrug. Something seemed off about Monika but she decided to ignore it.
"what about you guys, I feel like I'm leaving you out a bit here with the excitement of a new member!" Monika lied, giving Katio her sweetest smile.
"Oh, yeah! Thanks for joining, even if we aren't much!" Natsuki quickly finishes writing and opens her Manga again.
(We should probably wait for the others.)
(I'm here, I just can't really think of anything to do lmao)
(I don't know what to do either!)
(Well Monikia just called everybody to the middle of the room.)
(ohhh, didn't catch that part, sorry)
Yuri glanced up from her book, tuning into Monika's conversation, but staying silent. Speaking up was difficult for her without the script, but now her shyness seemed to be even worse.
Natsuki scowled at Monika before coming to the center of the room, a Manga in her right hand while she crossed her arms. She stayed quiet, but couldn't help but make quick glances at Katio.
Katio headed towards the center of the room. She looked around the room. Why is everyone here so hot? Wait! Why did I just think that?
(what are we doing right now?)
(No clue, I was thinking we could talk about the kind of stuff we’ve been reading then we can say, ya know, write a poem for the next meeting then we can go our separate ways, I think the poetry sharing will be super fun?)
(I'm just waiting for the fight over Katio to happen.)
"So. I'm Natsuki. You know that already. I'll let everyone else introduce themselves. I-I'm really glad to know we have a new member, though." Natsuki tried to keep her voice fierce, but she lost it at the last part.
"Well I'm glad to be here too, Natsuki!" Katio said, pulling Natsuki into a hug.
She's…touching…me…Why do I like it!? Natsuki's cheeks flush as she pushes away slightly, without a lot of force. "Hey! Th-that's… thanks, I guess." Natsuki looks to the floor, clearly embarrassed. Do I really like Katio?
