Emmy danced around in circles excitedly.

Nala looked around the small area. "What is this place?" she asked.

“The… uh… the humans called it a… pound? I think,” Emmy said.

"A… pound?" Nala had no idea what the word meant. She guessed it was probably okay since she had new friends here. She hated that cage though.

“I thought it was like… like… a… what do they call it? A… um… oh! A weight! But they also called my cage a pound, so maybe my cage is a weight?” Emmy speculated.

Nala tilted her head. "Humans are confusing…" she stated.

"I've heard the humans say pound before, but I didn't understand much else of what they were saying."

Merlin sat there listening to the conversation going on around him. His mind drifted from subject to subject as he did so. What’s it like outside of these walls now? I wonder if it’s changed.

"Right? I can't really make sense of what they say," Nala agreed with Lupin, tail wagging again.

"It just sounds like jibberish to be honest." Lupin sat down and yawned.

Nala nodded her head before roaming the small room. Her small legs needed a chance to walk around.
