"What do you mean by 'wrong'? How does it usually go?" She grunted. This thing was heavier then it looked.

"How do you mean? I never said anything was wrong." he said, closing the van doors
"You said 'what's gone wrong this time'." Ellen said, crossing her arms.
"Ah, yeah, a few years back someone was messing with the Weevil's minds and whatnot, I'm just hoping that hasn't happened this time." Jack explained.
"Huh. Weird." Ellen glanced around at the silents woods. "Can you give me a lift home?"
"Yeah, sure, just gotta drop off the Weevil first. What's your address?" he asked.
"21st street, back in town." Ellen said.
"Right." he said, starting the car and driving not to Ellen's address, but to a building by some docks, right by the bay. "First stop, dropping off the Weevil. I've got some very useful holding cells inside my base. Haven't really used it for over a year, not since the Rift was getting more active. I… couldn't." he said. So many regrets, so many deaths that were all his fault.
Ellen cocked her head. "What's the Rift?"
"It's…. why am I even telling you all this again?" he asked, annoyed.
"Because I'm naturally charming?" Ellen asked innocently. Which isn't even true.
"I'm the charming one." he said, getting out of the van.
"Really? Didn't notice with all the crabbiness." She hopped out of the van.
turns into crab i was called/
"Just help me with this, will you?" he said, dragging the still-unconscious Weevil out.
(I really want to join in on this but I'm the last one hhhhhh)
"Yeah yeah. Sure thing, charming." Ellen walked over and helped him drag the Weevil out of the van.

They walked inside to see a dusty reception desk with an elevator behind it. The elevator required a keycard, which Jack used and they descended into the base. When they got inside, a sight that barely anyone would ever get the privilege to see appeared before their eyes. A door opened, like one you would find in a spaceship, and inside was a gigantic room, with advanced tech and monitors beeping cheerfully. A pterodactyl soared over their heads, screeching. "Welcome to Torchwood." Jack said. The base was like something out of a sci fi movie, with doors leading off to different parts of the base. It was beautiful and overwhelming at the same time.
Ellen gave a low whistle, breaking into a grin. "Wow! This place is cool!" Her eyes scanned the room. "What kind of tech is all this? It looks incredible!"
(Just goes into some random guys secret bass. I'm sorry had to make the joke)
"Well, I got a lot of it from the Boeshane, some of it Slitheen, and some just normal Earth. Well, and things from other alien races too, but mainly those three." he said. "As for the pterodactyl, her name is Chester and you're to respect her life choices. She likes BBQ sauce and chocolate, preferably dark." he explained. "Now come on and help me get this Weevil to the cell block."
Ellen nodded before frowning. "Wait, are you saying there are other planets?"
