Yooo! Hey! Wanna continue?
Yooo! Hey! Wanna continue?
Sure
I haven't seen you in ages!
I missed you!
Sure
What do you mean by that, Mikhail?" Samaeal replied, as he sipped his drink, which had since began to cool off.
"Well-um-first of all, you're good looking and you're kind of intimidating…." Mikhail mumbled quietly.
Samaeal cracked a devilish smile, chuckling, he set his drink down.
"You are as well, you know?" He assured.
Helen didn't know why she returned to the coffee shop the next day. Maybe she just liked the coffee. Nope. That's not it. She, of course, did know the truth. There was a super cute guy there and hopefully, he was a regular.
"Hello there!" Sam yelled right away, as he saw the girl. She was a regular, it seemed. "I recall you were here earlier?"
Helen froze. Shit. But a small part of her was also happy to see him. "Uuuuuuuum, yes." She didn't move. She didn't know if she was happy or sad. Her hands were numb, but her skin was tingling. Her smile stayed plastered on her face because she didn't know whether to smile or to act cool. Okay, it was getting awkward, them just standing there, staring, not talking to each other. Helen licked her lips nervously. "So, do you live here?" It was the most she could get out of her mouth without falling apart. He just stood there, calmly, not freaking out.
Mikhail actually wasn't a regular at the coffee shop, he was a regular somewhere else and it had been closed yesterday for some reason. He walked over to his regular coffee shop, wondering if it closed today or not.
Sam smiled, watching her visibly freak out at the sight of him.
"I remember you! How goes it?" He asked, locking onto her.
Helen smiled. "Fine." For now. "It's my first week here and college is, well, stressful. But, you know, the people here are…" She realized that she was rambling and mustered out a quieter "nice."
He grinned, lacing his fingers together in contemplation of sorts.
"Indeed, I do." He quipped, sipping his latee.
(what does "indeed I do" mean?)
(It means he knows that the people in their town are nice!
Mikhail sighed in annoyance when he saw that his usual coffee shop was closed, again. He made his way over to the coffeeshop he went to yesterday, wondering if Sam was there or not.
Sam saw him in the window, and waved! He threw his Styrofoam cup in the garbage.
Mikhail glanced at Sam and waved back shyly, walking into the coffeeshop.
Samaeal kept his eyes on the two. The girl, and Mikhail. He clapped once.
"Looks like the party's getting started!" He exclaimed.
Oh, thank goodness. No more awkward silence. Helen turned around to order her coffee. "Do you want to sit together?" She said, turning back to face the guys There are two of them now. "I mean, if we're going to be friends we should probably not just stand here awkwardly, you know?"
Mikhail glanced at Helen when she started talking and smiled at her. "Sure."
Samaeal got up, sauntering over, abd aliding into the middle of the booth.
Mikhail followed Sam and sat down on the same side as him, making sure there was a decent amount of distance between them.
Helen instigated the discussion. "Do you two know each other?" She took a sip from her coffee and stared at them attentively.
