Samaeal cruised along town in his Corvette, whistling along to a pop song that he didn't really know too well. The scenery was brilliant, with lush green, well-taken-care-of vegetation. Tall, skeletal power lines dotted the road, strewn about with crossing wires, like a spiderweb. He came across various businesses, whistling at a jogger, before spotting a hip little café down the road.
He parked illegally on the side, and sat there for a minute.
God, Sammy, you look like a wreck today. He scoffed, inwardly.

Mikhail walked on the streets in his town with his nose in a book. He had recently started reading the Harry Potter series and it was interesting so far, he was originally a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus fan. He glanced up from his book for a quick second then decided to walk into a little cafe, shutting his book after he put in his bookmark as he walked into the cafe. He walked up to the counter and smiled at the woman at the counter. "I'll just have an espresso, thank you," He said kindly as he waited for his drink. He quickly took his drink when he heard his name being called then sat down at a random table next to a window then went back to reading while taking a sip of his drink every so often.

Samaeal stood in the door of the café, dragging his ass in and to the counter.
"Erm… Lemme get a coffee, please, juat an espresso." He asked, with his faultless, cheeky, devilish smile. She smiled back at him, endearingly.
He took a seat next to a distinct looking 8/10, with dark olive skin, and ashen blue hair. He was silent. Honestly kind of nervous.
You stupid knob. He's way out of your league. He told himself.

Mikhail was too absorbed in his book to register the fact that a man next sat down next to him. But after a few moments, he realized something around him changed and he looked to find a 1000/10 man in front of him. How the hell can someone be this fucking hot? Was all he thought when he glanced at the man, he quickly looked back at his book while blushing slightly. He rested his head in his hand, trying to hide his face as he tried to focus on reading.

Samaeal saw through this attempt, chuckling almost inaudibly, before looking around. His tail tightened around his leg under his pants, until his name was called. He stood up, and walked to the lady. As he did so, dhe started to hit on him. He politely declined, letting her know that he wasn't interested in women.
Then nodded to the other guy, winking.
He came back over and sat down.
"Hello." He gushed inwardly.

(yay!
Name: Helen Bennet
Aliases:
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight (this will be fun)
Age: almost 19, college student
Species: Human
Background: She was adopted by a lesbian couple. wears contacts for no reason because her parents went to a lot of marches and rallies for LGBTQ+ rights and it was sort of like a tradition for them to wear rainbow contacts so she just wears them as a fashion statement. She never knew her biological parents, and never really asked about them. "If you focus too much on the past you'll miss the present!" - she's that person. Just moved to wherever this is taking place. (how about Rhode Island? I don't know I'm just getting strong vibes that this should happen there.) to go to college
Personality: very positive, very naive, very kind. She is very willing to go to the most extreme lengths to help the people she cares about (basically everyone she meets). "Falls in love" easily (it's almost always platonic)
Appearance: Brown eyes, tan skin, no freckles, kind face. Small nose, long eyelashes. No real body shape, but she's really good with clothing and fashion and stuff. Very bipolar clothing choices. One day she's t-shirt and jeans the next day she's plaid sweater vest, yellow pants, and two-inch heels.
Height: 5'3"
Eye Color: Brown eyes, but she likes to wear contacts for no reason.
General Features: Brown hair, but she has highlights, kind of hard to miss on the street because she has a kind of skip in her step (she's a very positive person) and is almost never seen without a smile.
Talents: Um, she's good at annoying people? She is good at drawing and photography. She can't color to save her life. She can shade with regular pencils and charcoal and that but she stinks with crayons, pastels, colored pencils, pens, you name it.
Flaws: She normally can't tell if someone's not into her. She's persistent which can be good or bad depending on the situation. She can snap. She can, and when she does, all hell breaks loose. And I mean it.
Powers: none (can I do that?)
Other: She's the new kid. The sweet naive girl who has zero street smarts and is always somehow getting herself into trouble. She's like a more clueless, air-headed Louis Lane. People like to take advantage of her compassion.

A tiny bell rang when Helen opened the door a little too hard. "Oops, sorry!" She smiled and looked around the small coffee shop and sighed contently. It smelled like cappuccino. "May I please have a…" Her eyes darted toward the board behind the girl, looking for what she wanted. "Tall chocolate chip cookie frappuccino." Waiting for her frappe to mix, she spotted two guys sitting next to each other, not really doing anything. One of them was obviously blushing. Hard. Helen's gaydar went Ping! They both seemed a little too shy to talk to each other. They just needed a little extra push. She went and got them a brownie from the glass display so carefully located beside the cash register. This has to be what brownies were made for. Bringing people together!

(My characters are always the human ones who don't have any powers. I like to show how strong someone without those advantages can be.)

(Makes me feel alot better about not having powers myself :)

Samaeal looked at the girl. A pretty, naive-looking. Manipulative as he was, he sensed it.
"Oh, it's hardly called for, darling." He said, cracking his devilish smile. He knew whe would most likely gush for him, although humans were the most unpredictable things around. He knew he was a real catch, at least in this form, anyway.
You odious monster, you're just a wolf in sheepskin. An ugly thing masquerading as something you aren't. He scoffed inwardly at himself. Disgruntlement shown on his face for a second, before he smiled again.
"In fact, why don't I bye brownies for all three of us." He suggested, nodding at the catch sitting next to him.

Helen froze. Shit. He was good- looking. No. He was more than that. He was so much more than that. Think of the brownie think of the brownie think of the brownie you ship him with someone else. But still, she couldn't tear her eyes away from his. She let out half of a nervous laugh before tearing her eyes to the floor. "You don't need to do that." And her regular smile was back. "Seriously, it's on me. I'm not hungry. I- uh- er- got it for you guys. To share." Right. "Because, I thought that," *See, Helen, this is the whole reason you came. Don't get distracted. "I thought that you looked so cute together! So, here you go! Share!" Helen hastily grabbed her frappuccino and sat a few tables away, avoiding eye contact the whole time.
