He nods and looks towards Met, shrugging slightly. "What would be the easiest supernatural to gain, vs the hardest?"
He nods and looks towards Met, shrugging slightly. "What would be the easiest supernatural to gain, vs the hardest?"
Met glanced up at him. Though Zackary answered,
“Probably Demonship, since all you have to do is make a contract, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that. The second easiest is Angelicism. You just have to summon a pair (they’re better in pairs, trust me), and give them a reason why they should stay with you. The hardest is definitely the Visioner families. Mind Reading, Path Reading… whew!”
He nods and takes Met's hand. "Understandable."
Neo nodded in agreement to Zackary’s statement and snagged a nugget from Jace when the latter turned.
“Anything else?” Zackary glanced back up at Jason, a bit of red juice on his lip.
Jason shakes his head. Seth kisses Zackary's forehead. "Defense would be a good idea, love."
Zackary frowned a little. “I don’t think I’d be the best at spellcasting, Seth.”
Seth shakes his head and smiles a little. "For Jason, love. He's not a supernatural like us."
Zackary gave Seth a look. “You’re not a Supernatural anymore either, Seth.”
Seth rolls his eyes. "Still. I can fight one, but Jason doesn't have a clue about weaknesses or strengths."
“If he wants to know, he’s more than welcome to ask,” Zackary growled softly, as if Jason wasn’t sitting right there.
Jason looks at Zackary and Seth. Seth sighs and kisses Zackary's cheek gently before looking at Jason.
Zackary glanced up at Jason with a sigh. “Demons are weak to Angels, Mind Readers and Path Readers are weak to pretty much everything-“
“Sirens, Shapeshifters, Spellcasters…” Met supplied dully.
“-And Sirens are generally weak to Elementalists.”
Jason nods before looking down. "Is there a way a non supernatural can defend themselves?" He had felt so weak, he hadn't been able to do anything that could have helped. Guilt washed over him in waves.
Met put a hand on Jason’s, feeling his grief. “Don’t worry about it. Neo and Zackary can protect us.”
Jason shakes his head, biting his lip. As much as he wanted that, he couldn't face it. He wasn't able to protect Met. He looks down at the glittering golden band on his finger. Did he even deserve that ring?
Zackary scrutinized Jason closely. “Come on, kid.” He rose out of his chair, giving Seth’s shoulder a squeeze. “Thanks for the food. Jason and I’ll be downstairs in my office.”
Jason looks up and nods silently. Seth nods and smiles a little. "Okay then, love. Do you need anything?"
Zackary frowned. “I might need a snack. Summoning Angels is very exhausting.”
He suddenly looked at Jason. “Ready?
Jason looks at Zackary. His eyes widen before he gulps softly and nods. Seth smiles a little before walking into the kitchen.
Zackary blinked. “I’ll take that as a yes. Come on.” He gestured to the basement and opened the door.
Jason follows obediently, his green orbs glancing at Met before he walks down into the basement. He takes a deep breath before looking at Zackary.
Zackary was staring intently at the concrete wall. He stuck out his arms, murmuring to the wall.
“I’ve told you and told you, stop shifting around here… I’ll put a lock on you, I swear.”
He watched, keeping his body steady as he relaxed. He waited for Zackary to tell him what to do.
After his murmured threat a door appeared on the opposite wall.
“Now you decide to show up!” Zackary huffed and pointed to the door. “In.”
Jason looks at Zackary, then towards the door. He takes a deep breath before walking in.
