"hired by who? And why? Calix what's going on, you look exausted, you need help. Tell us who hired you, maybe we could help."
"Can't tell you, and just don't help please." Calix replied.
"Its a demon isn't it? you're coinciding with that demon girl, aren't you?"
"No it is not a demon believe it or not. And no i am not working with that demon."
She conjured a black flame in her hand, letting out a sigh. She dissapeared from behind the tree, fading into the wind and appearing in Head Master's safe room. She locked the door and swiftly walked towards the safe.
She opened the safe, looking for the pen. It was gone. "Jesus christ." She mummbled.
"If you die because of this…" Valentine's voice trailed off, "That's your fault," Valentine glared at Calix then stormed off in the opposite direction, mumbling about how annoyed she is.
He slowly stopped using his power until he wasn't. He decided to quickly lay down before he fell down.
As much as it pained her see him this way, she'd had enough of this. " she's right you know, it'll be your fault if you die from this. Heading back to her room, Zuriel sat on her bed, her wolf beside her and waited for night. and for Val.
He sighed and sat up and looked at the pen and realized why he was told to retrieve it. Calix quickly hit it in one spot and it broke. The pen he had was a fake just protected by magic.
She smirked knowing he had the fake, opening her bag pulling the real one out. She hid it with a cloaking spell, hiding it from all angels.
He picked up the phone he had. "Sorry it was a fake. I probably just doesn't exist." "Yeah yeah I'm sorry but you are wrong." He got off the phone and decided to take a nap. He needed to restore his energy.

Valentine looked down at her piece of paper that she crumpled in her hand. She unfolded it and read the words that Zuriel had written on it. She glared at it. "I'm not weak, I can handle my problems alone…" she mumbled to herself. She tossed the paper on the side of the road and kept moving along.
Calix woke up hours later and looked around he already knew he was stuck here his power was going to take longer then a few hours or a day to restore. He just layed there.
Valentine made it just barely into her house, right before the tears came pouring down her cheeks into tiny waterfalls. She kept sniffling and wiping the tears away trying to avoid crying but they kept coming back. "Just stop already…" she scolded herself. Finally Val got the tears to stop running. She sat at her desk and started scribbling some sketches down. Sketches of the pen, making sure that the picture of it would never fade from memory.
She knew Val wouldn't come, she was an admired angel, one everyone loves and respected, why would she confide in an outcast and loner? Lark nuzzled her " yes I know keep hope blah blah blah, what's the point?" If they wanted to call her a loner and crazy, fine, let them think that. She didn't care, she tried to be nice, it didn't work, time to move on. She curled up next to Lark pulling him close and her wings over them both, and cried into his fur.
She held the pen in her hand, crushing it to dust. She knew she could recreate it, It would be nothing to the angels if it was dust. All they worried about is that the pen was destroyed, and now they would think it was.
Calix laid motionless, for a while he blacked out again. he never knew how awful being drained almost completely felt, though some had died like that.
