"Why am I so stupid?" Val raged in disappointment. She kicked a rock into a nearby pond, "Just stop…" she told herself.

She looked up and replied to Zuriel, "It's supposed to contain ancient items. If any of them are stolen it can start a war between us. But nobody will win, we'll all die."

Calix looked up then pulled out an item. It looked like a pen but he knew it was so much more. He decided to was time and put it on the ground and started the process of destroying it.

"hm so why keep them at all if they cause so much destruction? Ah sorry, sorry, not my business, I've got to go find valentine, you haven't seen her have you? The angel girl?"

She replied again, "We demons keep them so the angels don't get hold, but your two little friends don't like rules. They won't be able to handle the power, trying to destroy it will unleash something great."

She faded off into the hall.

Calix kept working at it taking short breaks every once in a while. He wrote down his progress then kept working.

She appeared near Calix, hidden behind a tree. A spell she casted hid her aura and scent. She watched him attempt to break it and she let out a silent chuckle.

"so why not…." Zuriel was standing alone, with an Ash pile. "Hm wonder why she told me that" not wanting to find Calix because of his mood, zuriel went to find valentine.

He saw that he had started to break the surface and went over to a bag and took out two things and pushed them inside the pen. Quickly he started again.

She watched him, knowing something was going to happen. Killing everybody, not humans, but every angel and demon in the whole world. She wondered, is he trying to get rid of the species..?

He stopped for a second and wrote it down. Calix felt the drain but ignored it. He needed to finish this.

" Val where are you, come on please don't go crazy on me again…" She checked the cliff but no sign of her. She decided to check the forest one last time in case Val went back.

Calix kept going when a phone he had went off. He picked it up and talked to the person. "Yes I have made progress." He sighed "I'm sorry I am not enthusiastic it is suicide and I feel like I'm slowly dying." He listened to the other person. "Yes I know what will happen if I don't do this. Good bye." He just wanted to concentrate on it.

"Want to explain what that was about? And don't give me that ' it was nothing go away' crap, you've been acting weird latley, why?"

Val landed behind Zuriel and folded her wings up, "Looking for me?" Valentine stood very still.

Distracted by Val's sudden apearence zuriel stuttered, " um actually yes, I was just checking up on you, I saw you leave the meeting early and head for the cliffs, I thought something might have upset you so I went looking for you, is everything ok?" She gave her a price of paper that said "whatever you say now, I know it isn't true, you won't say it in front of calix, whatever is upsetting You, come talk in my room later."

Valentine started lying about how she was fine but she suddenly stopped as Zuriel handed her a piece of paper. She unfolded it carefully and read it slowly. She looked back up a Zuriel her golden eyes a little glossy. Valentine bit her tongue angry at her own actions. I could I had been so stupid…why didn't I think of someone noticing?

"It's fine. Also, Calix, what is that?" Valentine tried to change the spotlight onto Calix and whatever he was doing.

She saw it, that gleam in Val's eyes, she would wait for her until she was ready to talk. Focusing back on Calix they waited for an answer

"when did you both get here" he asked them not really wanting to give an answer. Also wanting an answer of when they got there.

Valentine was getting a little bored so she just bluntly told him, "Just now," still curious Val asked, "And, again, what is that?" Valentine nodded towards the pen that Calix was messing with.

"An object that does not want to be rid of easily." he replied answering the question but not really answering the question

Valentine snapped, "Calix, what the hell are you doing?!" she had enough of his games and wanted a straight answer. Her eyes narrowed in anger.

"A job I was Hired to do! OK!" he yelled a bit annoyed and also drained. using his power to destroy the Pen made him feel weaker by the hour.
