"They're going to be okay. . ." Elide promised, knowing that the girl probably couldn't hear her as a medic rushed towards them.
"Are you sure that you want me to heal a princess?" The medic asked, spitting out the last word like it was poisonous.
"Heal her, now." Elide demanded, crossing her arms over her chest.
"So what do you think of my little story?" she asked the twins.
(Why?! repeats this multiple times in amazement)
Arya's head rolls on her horns toward Elide and the medic, still mumbling and white eyed
Mira shrugged. "Its your childhood story I presume." She looked to Max, then back to Chrysa. "Is Arya going to be alright?"
"No," Chrysa responded sarcastically, "You don't say."
Mira chuckled silently. "You should just let us go~"
"Nope," Chrysa smiled at them. She turned serious, "Do you understand now why you're going to loose this war?"
She watched the girl on the ground and recognized her as the eldest princess, Arya. She reminded Elide of herself. Stubborn, but protective. If she had that strength and determination that Arya had, maybe her brother would still be here today.
"Because you hold the royal family hostage in a dome of fire only feet from the border that separates the land? How about you enlighten us naive children on your theories."
Arya was moving her fingers slightly now
"Not only will the people of this kingdom, who fear you, but the people of your own kingdom will rise against you," Chrysa walked towards them, "Even some of the people in your own armies are going to turn against you. And you can do nothing to stop them. You've sat on your pretty little thrones getting whatever you've wanted for years now. It's time the people fought back."
Elide continued to sit next to Arya, waiting for her to wake up. She had spoken to the princess once before. Arya had asked her to fetch a dress for a ball that night. She had no idea why she was so nervous to talk to her again.
Arya's eyes flick back to their normal position and she blinks furiously, still very pale but she looks around, "Where… The… Twins?" She spots Elide and she attempts at a snarl but fails miserably, "What… Did you… Do to… Them."
Elide glared back at the girl, but it resembled a embarrassed smile. "They're fine. And I just save your life, princess." She shot back.
Mira looked down at her lap. "Maybe so, but change isn't always good. I can't and I won't let our bloodline be defeated so easily, and there are plenty who still support us." She closed her eyes. "Now, if you think trapping us in a dome of fire will make us join you, you're dead wrong. There is no point in keeping us here longer, we won't budge a bit."
Arya snarls tirdly, rolling on her stomach and pushing herself up on her hands and knees but her limbs shake and she crashes to the side, clutching her still bleeding wounds
"Don't move." Elide snapped, kneeling down next to Arya and motioning her to lay back down. She grabbed some of the medical supplies and started to stitch up the wound on her arm.
Arya shrieks with pain, clawing at Elide's hands
"I know it won't," Chrysa sighed. She pulled out a piece of paper. She handed it to Mira, "If you burn that paper that means I know you've changed your mind. I'm not going to force you right now, but you two need to open your eyes. Because change is coming and you can't stop it."
Chrysa removed the dome of fire and flew back to Elide.
"Stop, I'm going to hurt you!" Elide yelled, pinning Arya's arms back down.
Arya snarls, biting at her
"Fine. Help yourself." Elide growled, leaning back and putting her hands up in surrender.
Mira looked at the paper, slipping it into a pocket. She picked up Max and carried him to the castle. (With Mara's help xD) She layed him on his bed and debated going back for Arya, but she didn't like leaving her twin, even at home.
Chrysa flew back into the encampment. She walked into the medical tent, "How's she doing/"
