I'm a little surprised no one has questioned the raven. Azora thought to herself, But on the other hand I have been treating it like a pet. Oh no… am I now a witch with a raven familiar? She looked down at the bird, but I hate stereotypes.
"Michelle Jones isn't boring, it's cool and . . . I don't know weird. In a good way," she added quickly. "Especially the Jones part. I'm Parker, by the way," she said smiling a little at everyone.
"An interesting name for an interesting girl," MJ said, giving a small wink.
"I– yeah," Parker stuttered out, her face slightly pink. She cleared her throat and turned to Azroa. "So you said we would be doing research and seeing how we work as a group?" she asked.
Karis stayed silent, his full black eyes surveying the group.
Fiona shook her head at the others and stepped to the side to let them continue their conversation
"Well odds are that we will get in a fight and we should have an idea how everyones abilities function what magic they use, weapons they are proficient in, and just general skills." Azoora said calmly, "It would be a horrible idea to me in a group with a full angle if there is any need for me to use magic. As for research we should we should be looking for anything in the last few months that seems unusual or unlikely."
Parker looked around. "Okay well, I'll go. I use life magic, so I suppose I'm our healer. And the weapon I typically use is a bow. So I'm not super helpful on the battlefield I suppose."
"It's okay, I got your back!" MJ chimed in. "Fire magic. I have this-" she waved a small metal stick slightly longer than the length of her hand in the air. "As my badass weapon." She looked around, as if daring anyone to argue.
"Transformation and a bo staff." Karis says, pulling out a bladed staff and swished it through the air gracefully.
Fiona chimed in " i got water, my bow and arrows and my trusty knife." she whipped out her knife and pulled out a collapsible bow from her jacket, arrows included.
"Well," Azora shook her head a little realizing she was the only who used dark magic. "I use death magic and I also have a bow, but I can use it in close quarters," She paused for a moment seeming to stop her self from saying anything else then added, "for reasons. Another thing I'm a witch so I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
"Oh, I'm a witch as well," Parker said. "Though I'm not sure if you could say I necessarily have tricks up my sleeve. My witch magic is mostly just an extension of my life magic."
(Quick question, what does being a witch constitute?)
(Things like herbal healing, divination, natural poisons, and having a connection to nature through study and application.)

"Aside from the strange focus on archery, the group seems well rounded enough." Azora look around the members of the team. "So on research how do we want to approach it. do you like to find information from computers, people, or though magic? Personally I'll normally visit the other side and talk to the people who are no longer with us."
fiona nodded "that sounds fun, but i don't have that type of magic, so i could always use computers."
"I have connections. Both in the Angelic world and the Demonic." Karis said, his fingers twitching. He doesn't like closed spaces, not even large rooms like this one.
"I can probably talk to people," Parker said, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I might need some names for where to start, but I could do that."
"that sounds like a good plan, i'll just need computer and some information to start off with." Fiona looked around and didn't see anything that even resembled a computer.
Azora smiled, "I could probably get you some names, but i'll need salt and ice, a lot of both, and I should be able to make a trip to the other side and ask some question, oh and someones going to need to hold me under, until I stop fighting."
Fiona slowly raised her hand "i could try to go get your supplies and hold you down, i don't know how well the holding you down part is going to go though, but i do know i can get the supplies." she looked around to see if anyone disagreed.
MJ shrugged. "So I guess that Fiona and Azora will go together, Karis will go by himself, Flora will be our guy- sorry, girl- in the chair, and I'll go with Parker. I may or may not bragging, but I can act pretty well, if I do say so myself."
Azora looked at Fiona, "Are you ok with practically drowning me?"
"Okay.." Karis mutters, staring around the room suspiciously. He felt like the walls were closing in on him but, he couldn't show weakness in front of these strangers.
