"I'm Lixi, although please don't tell anyone I'm here. I'm not exactly appreciated here." She said and nervously shifted her weight.

“Nice to meet you Lixi”

Lixi gave a warm smile, her eyes beaming with excitement. "Thank you. Now you have to tell me what its like, I don't care where it is. I just feel like an outcast here. And I live here!" Lixi exclaimed.

“It’s beautiful in a rocky way, but it’s hot. If you want I’ll take you sometime?”

Lixi gasped. She couldn't imagine what it would be like. "Yes please!" She pleaded.

“I’m going to go meet some other people, we will talk later though” he said

Alex didn't flinch at the snobby voice. "I'm Alex, I just got here from Neverland." She tried to introduce herself.

“Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Alex,” she grit out, gripping her glass too tightly. Everything was too sharp, colors beginning to turn white. She took a deep breath and it went back to normal. “Excuse me for not introducing myself, names aren’t the norm here.”

“Do your feet ever hurt from wearing those shoes?” Cade asked leaning against the wall because he felt cool that way.
“Nope.” Chelsea shrugged, “Not my fault you’re so tall.”
“Not my fault you’re so short.”

Cornelius rolled his eyes. "You two need therapy."

“You need therapy.” The twins grumbled in unison.

Cornelius sighed. "Why do I bother?"

The twins shrugged, “Because you chose to.”

"Can you…not speak in unison? It's a bit….creepy…"

“That’s our specialty.” The twins said, grinning like their parent. Then they shrugged, “We’ll stop if it makes you really uncomfortable.”

"It does." Cornelius stated.

“Okay.” They sighed.
“So, how are you enjoying the party?” Chelsea asked, bouncing on her toes.
“You’re going to fall and then tumble like a tumbleweed if you keep on doing that.” Cade snickered.

"It's pretty good." Cornelius responded. "Just a little…warm…"

“It’s warm?” Chelsea asked. She turned to Cade, “If you keep on making remarks like that, you’ll tumble like a tumbleweed.”

"Yeah…well for me it is…"

Madelyn decided to go out and chat with her guest I should not dwell on things that will never be she smiled wile taking one of the many cups of tea off a table. She took one sip, Really bitter she thought before dumping several sugar cubes into it.

“Oh.” Chelsea frowned.

Althea sighed and didn't know what to do. She decided to leave the party and headed towards the door
