Micah made his way back to the hospital room where he had woken up in hopes that a doctor would be there. He would call out for one, but it was as if he'd suddenly gone mute. He opened the door with his foot and set Mari down on one of the beds, her blood already staining the white sheets. Micah's breath was shaking as he hurried out of the room and brought back the doctor, Kian.
(I have to go soon though so this might be it for now)
Kian smiled, "She's lucky the knife only went through the cyborkinetic part of her heart, otherwise she'd be dead by now." he turned to glare at Micah, "You should've brought her as soon as you saw her." Kian folded his arms, "But I'm sure that when we're done, she'll be okay."
Micah nodded, quietly sitting down on another hospital bed next to Mariko. His hands were shaking and his breaths were uneven. "How long will she be out?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper.
The doctor sighed dramatically, "We don't know."
He nodded again. "I…" Micah didn't finish as he stood up and wandered out of the room, not wanting to look at Mariko's unmoving body.
Kian strapped on his gloves and wheeled Mariko under an x-ray table, examining her wounds.
Micah sighed shakily, sitting down with his back against the wall. He buried his face in his hands, rocking back and forth.
"She'll be fine." Kian gave Micah a thumbs up.
He nodded, still sitting on the ground.
