"Then how else?"

Phoebe shook her head again, eyes wide with fear and desperation. "That's not possible." She hacked, spewing more blood.

Kian shook his head. "I'm afraid it's true. If you want I can show you a sonogram."

Phoebe's chest heaved, tears spilling from her eyes. "How? That- that's not possible, I–" Her mouth was drenched in blood. "I don't want it to die." Tear after tear streamed down her cheeks.

"You won't die. You just need proper treatment." Kian took out a…something. Micah had no clue what it was.

"Not me. The baby. He died last time, I–" She puried her face in Marco's chest, gripping him tightly. I can't give birth again! But I'm not getting an abortion, I could never do that. What if the baby dies?, she thought miserably. "How is that possible?"

Kian crossed his arms, looking at Phoebe. "I'm not sure. I have a reading on your vitals now, so I might be able to tell you in about ten minutes."

Marco walked to the other side of the room, not daring to talk to Phoebe. He stuffed his face in his hands and began to cry.

Phoebe nodded numbly, feeling pain tear through her midsection once again. She grimaced, doubling over.

She looked up. "Marco?", she called softly. "Are– are you okay?"

Micah sighed, leaving Phoebe and Kian and taking the ice crutch to walk over to Marco. He found a seat and dragged it over to Marco, sitting down and leaning the crutch against the wall. He sat awkwardly next to him, not sure if he should talk.

Kian handed Phoebe some sort of medicine. "This should numb the pain." He took a tablet out of his briefcase and began tapping.

Marco shook his head.

Ayu sighed. "Kay, now I'm nonexistent, and alone, no brother." Ayu scooted over to an empty corner

Micah patted Marco on the shoulder. "It's gonna be fine. Phoebe is gonna be okay."

Phoebe took it, walking unsteadily over to Marco. "What's wrong?", she whispered, dreading the answer. She wiped the tears from his cheek with her thumb.

Micah saw Kian gasp at the tablet, then he began furiously tapping it.
