As they left the house, Mercy gave Young-Jae and Niade a small grateful smile but her eyes were rapidly changing colors, showing the storm of all her emotions. She was angry at Finneas; everything she knew about him painted him to be a cruel monster. Rune didn't deserve to know someone like that. No one did.
Though she was also nervous about actually encountering Finneas, but not for herself. She had fought before and both Young-Jae and Niade could no doubt defend themselves.
She would do anything she could to protect Rune… And now she was thinking that they would too.
(ah im sorry! I though i responded!)
Arriving at a mall, passing by a few convenience stores, but never stopping. Turning to Rune and Mercy with a cheeky smile,
"Well i guess hes decided we're going to a fancy place! You excited Rune?"
Niade looks at Rune with kind eyes.
Rune stared back at him, not quite recognizing the word excited yet. She tilted her head a bit in confusion. After a moment of his thinking she responded “yes.” Just to answer someway, as she heard the upward twinge in his voice signaling a question.
By now most of Mercy’s nerves had calmed, letting her eyes settle on a rich brown.
But she didn’t completely let her guard down as Rune’s band was still orange.
“So, Niade may I ask how exactly do you know Young-Jae? Aside from being his wolf, I mean.”
"Well, I'm his familiar type thing I guess…"
She said tilting her head like a puppy.
"I was born with him… But that sounds a little weird. We aren't related in any way…."
She said as she let out a sigh
"Oh I'm sorry, I don't quite know how to explain this."
She says then flicked Young-Jae's head. Turning around, looking at tad annoyed, but he heard Runes answer, and he was glad she was happy.
"How do I explain… us?"
She said to him, hoping he would know the answer.
"Well, before we came to earth, we were born if course, but when a litter of magical or whatever you wanna call it, wolves were born, my mother picked on for me to grow up with. See I'm technically royalty, so I wouldn't have many friends. Wasn't allowed to. So she was my friend"
He said them with a little smile. Trying to hide it, he turned around and kept walking.
"Wow, you're alot better at explaining things than me!"
Niade said ruffling his hair.
"I know"
He usually wouldn't just tell strangers he forgot everything, but he saw no reason to lie to these people.
Rune glanced back down at her band as the metal grew hotter. The band was a deeper, blood orange now the closer they got to the store. She inched closer to Mercy, gingerly touching the band with a curious finger, “Ow,” She whispered to not draw attention. It wasn’t hot to the touch, but the ongoing heat around her wrist made it slightly uncomfortable.
Mercy’s jaw practically hit the ground, eyes flashing orange in surprise. “Royalty!!! Then what are you doing on this world? I mean I’m sure you have your reasons but…”
Get a grip! You’re going to draw a crowd!
She looked around to make sure her outburst had remained contained to the small group.
“I apologize. Now I really feel like should know you but I never really have paid enough attention in World studies. I am also very sorry if I sounded threatening to you earlier.”
"Not at all… I came here because I got bored. All I got to do was live in a single building. So I left at 12, and somebody decided it was a good idea to follow me!"
He sniped back at Niade, who smiled ruffling his hair again.
"It was a good idea!"
She said laughing a bit.
Rune smiled at the happy conversation between her friends. She couldn’t follow their entire conversation, of course, but their tones sounded cheerful and relaxed, which was always good.
Looking at Runes wrist,
"Hey…. is that supposed to look like that?"
Niade said with a worried look on her face, the band was glowing more a darker orange. It looked like it was really hot.
Mercy smiled, laughing a little relieved that Young-Jae hadn’t been offended.
”So… Do I have to call you ’Your Highness’ or something like that now?” She asked half teasing.
Once she heard Niade’s question, she looked at Rune’s bracelet.
Her eyes turning a rich red, ”Depends on how much you want a blood bath. If that means what I think it does… Rune is he close?”
Young-Jae's decided not to answer her question. Rune was the priority here.
"I think he might be…"
Young-Jae said with a distasteful expression. Niade smacking him upside the head. She was getting a little angry thinking about the man. She had to smack someone.
"How rude"
Young-Jae's said acting like it didn't phase him. He knew her, and if he protested, she would beat him up.
Rune ignored the questions asked of her, decrypting them took too much time, instead choosing to look around herself wildly. Blood orange meant he was close, but not close enough to panic. Blood orange meant half a mile away, but Rune measured that distance with how many trees she passed. She couldn’t measure that here in the city, or on the ground.
(So what woukd it take to join this RP?)
To be active, that's all.
Mercy kept a hand on Rune, wanting to keep her close and safe, but not completely wanting to stop her search. Rune was the only one who knew what Finneas looked like.
The second Rune points him out… He’s going to beg for me to be merciful.
Walking into the mall, it was surprisingly quiet. There were about 29 people bustling around. Today wasn't a very busy day.
"Here we are… Go look around."
He says to Rune, then turning to Mercy.
"You or Niade should stay with Rune. I don't think she trusts me yet. Which is fine, I'm a little creepy."
He said to Mercy then striking away.
Rune looked around at all the people, distracted by the lights and the stores to notice her band turning a bright red.
Somewhere down the hallway, a ginger-haired man who appeared to be around the age of 19 walked out of a store. He kept his hands the pockets of his jeans. He sported a black polo shirt and loose jacket as he flashed smiles at the people walking by him. He caught sight of Young-Jae and tilted his head a bit. He fidgeted with something in his pocket and strolled up to talk to him, “Good day, sir.” He has scars, all across his face where an old man’s wrinkles might lay, but other than that his face was young and bright-eyed. He pulled his left hand out of his pocket to push some hair out of face.
She gave a humorless smirk at his words. ”I won't let her out of my sight. If we find him, just follow the screams.”
You have no idea how scary I can be, Your Highness.
”Lead the way, Rune. I won't let him hurt you.”
Young-Jae's eye staring daggers into his soul, while his two eyes looked calm and peaceful…. Welcoming. Not saying anything, he nods and smiles, then looking back at Rune.
is this more paparazzi… If so I'm gonna just die
He thought to himself.
Okey. What do I need to do, what genres are allowed, what the heck is currently taking place?
Rune held onto Mercy’s arm tighter as her band grew hotter and hotter. She tensed at a pain.
“Name’s Finneas.” He spoke with a slight downturn of his chin, “I’m looking for someone, we got separated and I thought she might come here. She loves the mall. Would you be so kind to help me please?”
