"While that may be true, he adores me, thank you." she teased, sticking her tongue out though she knew he couldn't see her. Angela watched her with a smirk.

“Well, then, you’re just flat out wrong cuz he loves me fair and square. I gave him food so it’s an automatic yep from the child.”

"I've been giving him food since he was born, and if he knew that you didn't want him to have bread yet, he'd shun you." she laughed.

Zackary laughed too. “Bread is very bad for him at this age! Well, in mass quantity. Still! A healthy smol child needs smol-friendly things!”

"Yeah, yeah… tell that to him." she chuckled softly. The playful banter between her and Zack was….different….warming. Hey, I'm gonna go. I'll call you on my break if you'd like." She offered. In the corner of her eye, she could see Angela fanning herself, watching Juliet. She rolled her eyes.

Zackary smiled and pulled Qhuinn closer, humming softly. “That sounds good. Hopefully Qhuinn’ll be up by then and we can get some lunch?” Grabbing lunch with her… hopefully it wasn't too desperate.

Juliet's smile broadened. "I'd like that a lot, actually." she nodded, though she wasn't in front of him. "I'll give you call, and we can go somewhere nice, okay?"
Angela pretended to swoon, falling back in the office chair. 'A date?' she mouthed. Juliet shook her head.
It wasn't a date….right?

Zackary grinned dorkily. “Sure! Sounds great! Do you have to go now? You don’t sound very busy.” He couldn’t keep the slight laugh out of his voice.

"Well I am, smarty-pants." she retorted with a small laugh herself, her mind already flashing to the moment she would see him again, ticking off seconds until. "I just have a quiet office. Now, goodbye Zackary, I'll call you later." She hung up. Angela squealed. "You didn't tell me you have a man!"
Juliet shook her head. "I don't…" He's a demon…

Zackary grinned and rolled his eyes. “See you.” He hung up the phone and set it down on the nightstand, reminding himself to get a cellular device. He looked down at the sleeping child and laid down with a hum of contentness.

"Yes, you do and his name is Zackary! Woah! It's about time, it was only a matter of days before you got a cat, girl. I'm glad he's here. You trust him with the baby and everything!" Angela clapped happily.
"Whatever…." Juliet rolled her eyes. Her friend didn't have a single idea of what Zackary was, what the situation really was. "He's just a friend-"
"Ha! A friend…" Angela snorted. Juliet shook her head.
"Your break is over." SHe pointed sharply. Angela chuckled as she stood, black hair, streaked with electric blue, swishing with the action. "Alright, I'll go…" She waltzed out of the office. "Just tell me about your date when you get back." The door shut.
Juliet laughed. "It's not a date…" Or was it?
She debated this until her break, half-heartedly working until it was time to call Zackary back. She snatched up her phone as soon as the clock struck three. It's still not a date… she thought as she dialed Zack.

Zackary was playing patty-cake with Qhuinn when the phone rang. He plucked it up quickly, booping Qhuinn’s nose and saying, “Hello?”
He’d been waiting anxiously for her to call, hoping she was safe and happy.

"Hey! I'm on break. I was wondering, wanna meet at Valerie's? It's a really nice soul food restaurant on 5th. The food is to die for." She suggested, a smile on her lips. Qhuinn heard his mother's voice and squealed, babbling happily as he leaned into the phone. Juliet laughed on the other end. "Hello, Qhuinnie-bear! Mommy missed you!" She followed with a series of kissy-noises.

Zackary laughed gently and handed Qhuinn the phone. Over the ruckus, he shouted gently, “Yeah! Valerie’s sounds wonderful!”

Juliet stopped her noises and replied, "Okay. I'll see you to there. Bye, bye, Qhuinnie. Mommy will see you soon. Mmmmmwha!" She hung up. Qhuinn mimicked the sound. "Mmmmwha!" he kissed the phone.

Zackary chuckled and helped Qhuinn to his feet. “Are you ready to go see her?” He rose and plucked up the child. “We’re gonna go see her!”

Qhuinn clapped his hands. Zackary was excited so he was too. He squealed with joy and turned to Zackary. "Mmmmwha!" he kissed his cheek as he would his mother.

Zackary laughed gently and kissed the boy’s cheek back. “You’e such a cutie! Okay, let’s go…” He found Qhuinn’s shoes and put them on, also giving him a little jacket to wear.

Qhuinn clapped his hands happily, babbling as he kicked his feet and tried to eat his jacket sleeves.

Juliet drove to Valerie's and waited in the foyer. She was so excited to see Qhuinn and Zackary. She couldn't wait to enjoy a nice meal with her family, her new family.

Zackary walked to fifth, to Valerie’s. He’s passed it many times, hell, been in the resturant many times, but never ate. He arrived with Qhuinn soon, looking around for Julie.

She spotted them when they came in and beamed. She walked with hast and hugged Zackary and Qhuinn. Qhuinn cooed, leaning into his mother's embrace.

Zackary smiled and handed Qhuinn to Julie from the hug. “Hey! How was your ride here?” He gave her a careful, identifying look, smiling.

"Good. No trouble." she reported, noticing his look. "I've been perfectly fine all day." She gave him a smile before giving Qhuinn a big, fat kiss. "Mommy missed you so much." She showered him with kisses causing him to laugh. She held him close.. Her precious baby.
"C'mon.." she beckoned Zackary. "Let's get a table, I'm starving."

Zackary gave a slight, satisfied grunt. She sounded happy enough, kissing her child and standing there, positively radiating with happiness and confidence. He led the pair up to the greeter’s stand and asked for a booth, with a child’s booster seat.
